Does anyone know an online simulator for Holmes Wright lantern Test?

Or even a clinic where you can go and practice a few tests maybe?

Thanks!

Blue/Yellow: 0.68
Red/Green: 7.34 (pass < 6)

Was disappointed to fail of course, and I did ask the AME if it was worth retesting, but I was told not to bother as I am moderate CVD, and the result was not close enough to warrant any retesting.

I have seen some comments on this forum around the CAD test at city University yielding slightly better results for people, so I'm looking into this... Not sure if anyone thinks it's worthwhile based on these results?
My son, 15, took the CAD last week and also did not pass. We will be booking him for the City University Colour Assessment as they do a number of different tests (including CAD).

Where in Europe can I take CAD and Lantern test for EASA Class 1?
My aim is simply to give myself the best possible chance and to get a clear outcome on whether I can meet the Class 1 colour-vision requirements.
I’d prefer recommendations in Eastern or Central Europe, but I’m willing to travel to other countries if needed.

Just failed the CAD. What that thing has to do with aviation, I don't know. If you're not seeing anyting you just have to gamble on 1 of the 4 cornes. 100% reliability, yeah sure...
Strangely, EASA still accepts lantern test, but AME's are not keen on you taking them... Sounds like my last option.

Did you get anywhere with this? I recently took the CAD at Heathrow and failed R/G (7.2). He said I could get retested, but didn't recommend it. Like you, I’ve heard of people getting better results at City and am trying to decide if I should try it or not.

Challenge CAA

With previous discussions on here about challenging to result of a failed CAD test with an AME of the CAA, what is the process of sending off results from London City University, if you score better (below CAA’s threshold for the CAD test) is it a massive battle for them to accept results from City University ? Can’t see it being easy knowing the CAA

Continue or quit

Hey everyone,

I recently took the CAD (Color Assessment & Diagnosis) test and got a result of 6.47 (EASA R-G fail).

Has anyone been in a similar situation and then passed on a retest or other alternatives like Farnsworth D-15 Test or lantern?

I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth retaking the test under better conditions or maybe have better chance passing alternative tests, or if I should just accept the result and move on.

Any experiences or advice would really help.

Thanks.

London City university are the ones who created the test and then EASA approved it. I failed it margninally with the AME, took it again at London City and was singed off immediately upon presenting the pass result from London City to my AME. This was a few years back but things shouldn't have changed.

Was it just as simple and sending an email to your AME ?

No, I had to go in for my full initial class 1 and that's where he singed me off.
