Like what?

Hi all, just wondering what are the average wait times between submitting an application and getting invited for the online assessments? I am not a mentored student and recently completed a whitetail APS MCC. Thanks!

Pilot.S 5th Sep 2023 20:35

Hello,
Is there anyone who did a Whitetail APS MCC and then did the RYR-mentoured APS MCC a few months later? Im looking back and maybe would of made sense for me to do the RYR mentoured APS MCC.

In my opinion, if you`ve already done your mcc, be it aps or normal, I would not waste money on doing the mentoured. Save the money for sim-prep and type-rating. They need pilots so if you`re competent it does not matter what kind of mcc you`ve done.

if your goal is to get into an airline as a cadet I would just apply with the mcc you have. Save money to prepare yourself for the sim and you'll be fine. I dont event have the aps, just regular mcc on an ALSIM and got into Ryanair so don't waste your money

Any word on Ryan reducing the type cost again? I'm hearing they're desperate on the flight deck but a 30k type plus living expenses coupled with now high interest on any loan (if you can get one)... is just a bit much for most surely...

Like 1-2 months ago Ryan had webinar targeting cadets .. There was said they have loooot of candidates and not thinking about reducing TR costs anytime soon..

I've not yet seen "desperation" on the flight deck. They always get through it, summer is over now too and they seem to have survived. People do days off or operate outside of their regular base and it keeps things turning over. The new improved pay is also attracting a lot of direct entry first officers.

ptflying 7th Sep 2023 10:15

To be honest I only see them reducing the price maybe in the next summer, as a user above mentioned, they survived this summer so no reason to lower it now. Plus they have 8 cadets interviewing every single day of the week, that's about 160 a month. I think they'll be alright for now

There’s a storm heading their way which they seemingly choose to ignore. Over the next few years that TR fee will be gone.

Anytime! Even you’ll be joining the leaving party soon! Ryrs only hope is to bond new recruits so they don’t leave!

Hey guys,

Which ATPL bank would you highly recommend using for preparing for RYR cadet? Also during my previous employment I worked for TUI as a customer helper, will they say anything against that during the HR interview?

Yes they’ll ask you for more money.

Don't worry about APS or not, mentored or not, etc... the most important papers for the RYR assessment are a bank statement and proof of life

A320LGW 7th Sep 2023 18:04

What storm is heading Ryanair's way? Genuine question.

The pilot who assesses you gets paid the exact same whether you pass it or not. He couldn't care less about your bank statement.

I personally don't see the TR fee reducing or a bond coming back. The last bond they did resulted in a lot of guys running and not paying it back, plus they've got 8 candidates a day attending assessments, so no shortage.

To answer your first question, you'll be fine if you use the one from PASS. Covers basically everything
