They seem to have plenty of cadets!!!

Sim training taking place in both STN and EMA.

How many assessments every week?
Still thousands of low hour pilots waiting at a guess.
Definitely 100s of TP who might consider RYR when you see in a downturn such as this TP hours are only just above low hour!!!

This is clearly a swipe at RyanAir, that is unfounded. The training schools did not have the ways and means to keep the flow going. I have an old colleague who is in this environment and he maintains that they have a full compliment of cadets, now and for the next 9 months. In fact their is pressure to increase their output as there are concerns within the airline that their expansion plans are jeopardised by lack of aircrew.

The idea of potential entrants to our industry that are being charged large sums, unfortunately is a fact and this appears that it just may continue. Sad state of affairs in my mind, but realistically, it is what it is.

Hello everyone,

For the sim assessment, did you make any preparation at any of the ATO that Ryanair suggests (AFTA, AFA, AVIOMAR, Bartolini etc)?

Or you did your APS MCC to a 737 sim and that's it?

Many in flight school had postponed training. Over the next few months they are going to be catching up and flooding the market.

Still what another year before the likes of BA etc possibly open up and people from RYR jump ship so in the mean time ramp up TR costs.

Just my opinion. Sad but it’s the situation we are in. Weren’t easyjet charging €35k for TR even in the good times?

Try simtech in Dublin, they afford good preparation for assessment and for decent price. You can take 2 hours in Sim just day before assessment in Ryanair.

Any recent feedback from those who have done assessments this week and last week?

xoen890 17th Feb 2022 14:37

Could you tell me something more about the questions you get during the technical interview? Thank you

I have my interview/sim assessment on March 8th. Is anyone else there that day and would anyone want to share the cost in attending a sim preparation session beforehand?

how long did it take from te succesfull email to the invitation for you?

flyingtrain 18th Feb 2022 14:44

I was on a RYR mentored APS MCC so I did the online assessments before that. It took 5 days from when I submitted the rest of my application to finding out the assessment date.

Hello guys I try to figure out if the sim assessment is roughly the same for experienced type rated 737 pilots or if it's really different.
Any info would be appreciated !
Keep the blue side up !
