Not at all, regular MCC with assessment specific sim prep is plenty

Hi, anyone knows what are current requirements for Non-type FO recruitment?

Sacha.kva 3rd Jan 2023 10:44

Hello,
Did anyone who applied after December 20th receive an email to do the online assessment?

Can someone explain to me why I still haven't received a response from Ryanair when I applied on December 19 and some have applied after me and have already received a response for the online assessment ?

They must have done an APS - that's why they were probably contacted

Applied on November 28th with APS MCC from CAE Brussels. Still no reply. Start to wonder if there is something wrong regarding one of the file I uploaded; hope it's not the fact that all my files name have underscore in it (_) lol, but i tried to upload one of the file without any underscore and it seems they are added automatically so...still don't get why some people get a reply without a few days/weeks. I'm not the first one from my school to apply for them ...

Ryan air APS MCC via AFA

Hi all,
I’m planning to send all the documents to Ryanair so that they will give me online assessment.
but I hear allot of story’s that normal MCC will not be invited that often. Only APS MCC.
now is Ryan air offering there own APS via AFA for around 6k.
Did somebody did this APS-MCC?
how long it wil take?
And it is advisable?
I already flew around 8 hours on a non-certified 737ng sim. Practicing the Ryan Air assessment.

I would love to hear other story’s about the application process and how soon people get invited.

Hi all!
Has anyone gotten any email from Lauda for their cadet applicants?

Lpdeol 6th Jan 2023 15:50

Hi guys,

I've been invited to Dublin on the 25th of January. Looking to brush up on the 737 sim with UPiLOT in Dublin 2 or so days before and looking for a partner if anyone is interestd to split the costs as it works out to be much better value for money this way. PM if interested, thank you.

Hi guys,

I' ve been told that RYR implemented again the 5K upfront + 5 years bond.
Is there any confirmation about it or just a rumor?

As much as i know, just Buzz and only for Polish candidates.

Thanks!

That's true. But I believe it's 6K.
Another difference is that you'll work as a contractor

AviatorBoy_95 10th Jan 2023 21:32

Does this apply to NTR low timer? because on the AFA website, it is still 30K

I want to share my feedback as I recently did my Ryanair assessment and have received a positive result.

For my preparation I used:

Pprune -> thanks everyone for the shared information

Pilotassessments.com -> the Ryanair preparation package is called “Irish Low Cost Carrier”

Intro
The assessment day started at 08:00 and we gathered at the reception of the HQ in Dublin. After we were picked up we got a quick tour through the building and then submitted our documents in a briefing room. Here we also had a presentation about the structure of the day. Next simulator pairs were formed and one pair started with the simulator and the others with the technical and HR interview.

Tech and HR interview
I started first with the technical and HR interview and had the following questions:
  • Introduce yourself?
  • What can you tell about Ryanair?
  • What would you contribute to Ryanair?
  • What are SOP’s, why are they important and what would you do if you notice a captain does not follow them?
  • Can you describe a situation in which you showed leadership?
  • What is your notice period?
  • What aircraft did you fly before and what can you tell about the electrical system?
  • What was the voltage of the battery and what is the voltage of the 737 battery?
  • How does a carburetor heater function?
  • What are swept wings and what are the advantages?
  • What do we use bleed air for?
The interview felt calm and related and in approximately 30 minutes I was finished with the interview.

Simulator
The simulator assessment took as well approximately 30 minutes for each.
  • Liverpool POL 4T SID with a climb to 5000ft
  • Afterwards airwork
  • Accelerate
  • Descent with 800 feet/min
  • In our case there was an emergency with smoke in the cabin, so we did DODAR/NITS briefing
  • Radar vectors for raw data ILS 27 at Liverpool
  • Landing (not assessed)
Make sure to do all handling and call-outs as described in the briefing package.

I hope my contribution will be of help to anyone else!
Last but not least: try to relax (as far as possible), be well prepared! and try to enjoy it as well :)

Hello.

Anyone on Type Rating FR2324, starting the 20th March, is interested in split accommodation for the intro week and after 12th April in east midlands?

Send me email please,

Thanks

AbraKadabra. 14th Jan 2023 18:31

Hi guys, they say we are not expected to go through the check list (example before landing checklist), or QRH (in emergency). They say just “call it out”. Can someone explain what they mean by that?
thanks
