According to the MCC/APS training providers you are RYR's number 1 in the assessments and 97% passes the assessment with MCC/APS. Maybe the APS itself does not benefit you during the assessment but having an MCC/APS from one of their training partners might help them initially with selecting you for an assessment. This is an assumption but it sounds plausible..

training partners are obviously endorsed by the RYR training department so it is crystal clear that you are trained to pass the assessment and the type rating

Anyone with an MCC/JOC and just preparing properly can pass the assessment, I know plenty of guys that have done the ryanair mentored APS and still have to go and do the sim prep sessions before the assessment. Having the ryanair mentored APS will put you at the top of the pecking order in terms of being called first, but that is because the TRI's job is much easier for someone that has done all the APS exercises as it makes up 33% of a type rating. I was surprised to discover what was the content of the assessment and that the APS is not geared towards it all, considering what you hear.

People will do SIM prep cause they want to have the best chance of passing - so what's wrong with that?

Hi all
If anyone is from FR2303 and would like to discuss accommodation feel free to message me. :-) |
Has anyone had an interview for the B737 Non-Type Rated First Officer position?
If so how was the interview and sim assessment? Many thanks LP |
Hi everyone,
How much time do we have between the day you are shortlisted for the online assessments and the actual day when you do those test? Because I just applied for Ryanair, but I don't really want to buy pilotassessments for nothing and to train on it if I'm not even shortlisted. Or is it the only soluton ? Thank you for the help |

Thank you for the help For me it only took several days for receiving the invite for the online assessment after applying, so I would advice to be prepared, things can move quicker than expected! |

I think this depends on your available preparation time, current (ATPL) knowledge and psychometric capacity.

Thank you for your answer, but you didn't really answer my question. When you are shortlisted to do the online application, do you have some time ahead of you or like you receive an email saying: "you are scheduled to do the online test tomorrow" for example. What is the amount of time Ryanair gives you when they have selected you for the online assessments?

Well in my case the invite e-mail said that I had 3 days for completing the online assessment after the payment had been processed, so I would suggest to be prepared!
All right, but you decide when to make the payment. You can train let's said for 1 or 2 week on pilot assessments and at the end you decide to make the payment and do the online tests ? |
I'm on FR2303. Trying to find Stansted accomodation without approaching the cost of the TR :O
For anyone wondering, I had to wait around 4 weeks from finishing the online assessment to getting my interview date. |
