- Are all web browsers compatible for this online assessment, especially Safari (mac os), or shall I stay with the Chrome/Mozilla?
- Do I need a mouse or laptop's trackpad is enough?
- For the sim assessment in Dublin, does Ryanair still use Jeppesen charts?

I suggest to use Chrome and mouse, its easier.
Ryanair uses Navtech charts.

Hi, when I done my online assignment I used my iPad for everything except the interview questions. I also used a pen with the rubber tip on the top, the touchscreen type. I found this very helpful especially with the “tunnel flying test” you have greater dexterity in your fingers using the pen and my practice score went up approx 20%.

I am wondering if the flight school where you trained affects your chances of getting in? Can someone tell me if they care at which flight school you trained school even though you do a MCC/APS (Ryanair mentored)?

They certainly have a soft spot for their training partners as they know what they are getting, but they are still giving a shot to everyone.

They give everyone a fair shot at assessment. I'd go for regular MCC then 2 hr prep on a 737 sim. It'll be a lot cheaper and your chances are just as good.

I disagree with your statement. RYR has said in many occasions that the fail rate with a standard MCC is high. So no, your chances are not as good as someone who has done a proper APS

I'll also disagree with your statement. What percentage of those students that didn't do an APS MCC also didn't do any preparation? The numbers of people who show up to assessments with no preparation never ceases to amaze. That is why people fail. The assessor has 25 mins to decide if you have flying ability and if he won't want to jump out of the window if he were to sit beside you all day. It's probably the most straightforward assessment in the business.
Where the APS MCC would really help is on type rating as the basic SOPs are the same (such as the setup). 4 guys on my assessment didn't do the APS and we all passed. 1 who did the APS did not pass. I know a ridiculous amount of guys who didn't do the APS and they all got in with decent assessment specific preparation.

I still think that personality traits are leading in terms of passing an assessment. Every retard can obtain an fATPL really, and everyone with an fATPL can probably fly an ILS in a sim.
As pointed out the APS doesn't necessarily benefit you in terms of passing an airline assessment. What else can they determine in that short time, other than that you're not retarded?
As far as I've heard the benefit of APS starts after passing the assessment.

According to the MCC/APS training providers you are RYR's number 1 in the assessments and 97% passes the assessment with MCC/APS. Maybe the APS itself does not benefit you during the assessment but having an MCC/APS from one of their training partners might help them initially with selecting you for an assessment. This is an assumption but it sounds plausible..

In relation to the APS or standard MCC: I did the MCC/JOC myself and was lucky enough to sit in on APS/MCC also for free as they were short a partner. I have been looking at the briefing pack for the assessment, and the APS to me seems only beneficial for the actual type rating. Was told by a captain that the idea of the APS is to make the type rating easier but it is marketed towards the assessment.
Everything in the assessment is covered in detail in the MCC section of the APS/MCC, the only difference i found between the MCC/JOC and the APS/MCC is that you do a lot of LOFT exercises and cold and dark setup etc on the APS, but it is great for the extra hours and familiarity with the procedures etc.
Having done both if i was to chose myself, i would probably go for the APS, purely for the extra hours and familiarisation with the aircraft, assuming you go on to a type rating, in terms of purely for an assessment, i cant see the big advantage over an MCC/JOC and some good preperation beforehand in a SIM close to the time.
