I would say I agree :uhoh:

EIFlyer 12th Jul 2018 16:12

Anyone hear anything today?!

choochoosgaming 12th Jul 2018 16:46

Hey everyone!

I still have no Yes or No.I emailed A L and got a response saying :

Hi,
We hope to provide a status update over the coming weeks.
Kind Regards
A L recruitment Team

With less than a week until the next stage I find this unnerving like everyone else.
I am trying to think outside of the box with this. If I get any information that can help ease people anxiety about it I will try share what I can.Hopefully anyone reading this who has gotten a yes phone call could give us more information that would be great.

I was reading from the top to bottom page and realised that you guys get calls/emails on different date and even rejection email. I haven't heard anything from them so far. Should I be hopeful? :*

Dazzler91 12th Jul 2018 20:16

No email No Call

Like as narrow a hope that it is, I can't see them emailing some people no and not others so it means there's some kind of tiny glimmer of light I guess until we have 100% confirmation

79er 12th Jul 2018 20:24

It would be nice to see what date at assessment center was offered to the last called person here? I know we are all trying to figure out some useful info and mind could already be playing tricks at this stage but I guess hope dies last.

Main question is, did they already get most candidates invited or is there a major delay. One option says we do not have much to hope for, other is statistically better for the camp. ;)

I'm convinced that I'll also get a NO soon enough, because of previous flying experience (had almost completed PPL when applying, now complete). Out of curiosity, has anybody who has received a YES had any previous flying experience?

Hi theexpandingman.....thank for your mess....i really honestly doubt that if you have any flight experience they would reject you.....it's also acceptable to have flight exp certificate if the A levels are not met in education requirements...all said on their site at the application.... the criteria of selection must be totally another one like: how well we've done on the test ...video interview....if i did not get selected i doesn't mean i did so bad at the test...i know what i did and was pretty good ...but in 6000 applicants must have been others that did much better than me ...thats all....at list i understand now what kind of online assessment is that ....best of luck

Hard luck Ana. You'll get there eventually. Do you mind me asking what date you submitted the online assessments?

True ...life needs a bit of luck too....but here is all about me not doing enough at the test....yes i submitted my online assessment at about 8 pm on the last day Sunday ..think was the 20 th.

I got my call 11 days ago. They told me that there were only a few possible assessment dates remaining and that I have to send them my favorite one quickly because they were filling up fast.

Still, there is the possibility that some people reject their invitation to Dublin. I guess those empty slots will be filled up with lucky-ones from the "no call no mail camp". As there are so many people in this camp, they will not struggle to find someone who is available in Dublin on the very next day for example. I think they will keep their options open until the first assessment stage is completed on the 27th.
However, please - this is only speculation.

Best of luck!

Got a reply

I got a mail just now that my application is unsuccessful. :(

Just got my rejection email. Good luck to all those sitting assessment soon and those still waiting. For me, its time to get on with the modular route.

Hard Luck, you'll get there in the end though, upwards and onwards.

I am in the limbo with no call no email. I’d like to make some considerations: I think it’s safe to say that for us in the limbo, a rejection mail is very very likely to arrive soon. I’m really sad in saying this, but I always try to be rational and realistic. We know we had in the best case 3000 applications, worst case about 6000 and we know that for the final stage in Dublin they want about 200 people. I think the 90% of applicants maybe read the forum but I’m quite sure they don’t have an account. In the first week of july we had the calls, many people writing in this forum got their call, I haven’t gone back to count them but I’m sure they are around 10 to 20, this number is already 5 to 10% of the final stage group. The rest 90,95% could have been filled by the people not having an account.
Yes very few people got a call this week too, they have been maybe lucky enough to be called standby due to refusal by some candidates (as many months have passed and maybe some people took different roads).
In the end, I think final rejection mails will arrive the week or immediately after the selection on Dublin, as someone said in the unlike event they don’t manage to fill the gap they can call back people who didn’t get to the top but didn’t do so bad

Most likely yup, I think you're right my friend, I think you are right

How often do Aer Lingus run this programme then? Has it been fully or mostly funded with a secured job at the end in the past?

- I'm also in the no call no email camp but won't be particularly surprised or saddened if I receive a rejection. I'm in my first year of a Chemistry degree at a respectable university so now I'm close to progressing into the second year of my studies I have something to see out and complete for at least 2-3 years. Because of this I didn't put loads of time and effort into the whole Aer Lingus assessment and application and would definitely see myself putting in more effort once I have graduated and am moving on from university.

I was just wondering if they do frequently run the programme and if it is likely to run again. Do they let people apply a second time after a previous rejection?

Thanks and good luck to all :)

I emailed them to make them aware of a change of contact information (phone) and got a rejection email 10 minutes later. With the competition wasn't expecting much success but it was fun while it lasted. Onto pastures new!

Hard luck, I did the same and I was told they would be back within the next 2 weeks, I have a funny feeling anyone in the same boat as me is on the knifes edge between fail and replacing no shows or people who reject the offer

First interviews coming up, good luck to everyone!

I'm very close to finishing my PPL and got a yes for the interview.
