Hello folks!

Did anyone's application status update to anything different to "invite to preselection online test" ? Even if accepted or not.

Many thanks and good luck!

No call, no email

Ah lads the suspense is killing me

I'd advise you all to keep off the forum and put it out of your mind, you'll either receive an e-mail or a phone call in due course. I remember last year I was the same, I was refreshing this forum every few hours and had convinced myself I wasn't through but I received my phone call nearly two weeks after they'd first started ringing people.

Same here - anytime the phone beeps I jump. Just want the answer now - want to be put out of my misery

Anyone get the call / email today?

Blakey0204 6th Jul 2018 10:32

Good luck to all those that have gotten the call!

I was fortunate enough to recieve mine monday morning, a day after finding out I'm going to be a dad!

Bitter sweet feeling as I've, obviously, elected to pull out of the FPP. Wishing you all luck this year!

For those of you who wern't fortunate enough to get the call, or for those that don't get past the assessment centre, there will be another opportunity!

Maybe they’re doing it in order or application received?

I sent mine mine in around 23.40 or so iirc.

Eraclito - thanks for sharing the news with us. Don't give up as resilience seems to be the key in aviation job market.

I haven't got call nor email yet but dont have my hopes high and i am progressing with an alternative plan to train at my own expense (no I don't have 120k euros for integrated training I don't even have half of that, lol)

good luck in your ventures and hopefully see you in on the deck one day.

thanks @JakubEGSC! I will try my best.

That is good to have a plan B, and it is great to read that you are progressing, regardless of the AL outcome. That is what I am doing myself, I never rely on someone' else judgement, however, sometimes a little "LIFT" helps :D In this case I will keep flying with no pressure, I mean QNH 1013hpa (and no debt) - jeez that was a cold joke, wasnt'it? :D

Jokes apart, I try to fly every week-end and I am starting soon the Navigation Module (studying towards my PPL). It is a long road but it enjoyable.

Passion and Discipline will get you there. If you haven't got the email yet, there is still hope, fingers crossed!

I also wish you all the best and see you up there ! :)

Good luck everyone! Does anyone know whether there are further stages after the one day assessment (a part from the Class 1 medical and company medical)? The website description doesn't suggest there are which I was finding a bit odd.

Impatiently waiting!

Hi guys,

Just looking for a little bit of help. I’m living in America for the summer so keep having to swap out my SIM cards to check my Irish one. Can whoever has received a call give any indication of what the number is like. I received a issued call and when I called back it just said we have take note of your number and will call back. I’m not asking for the whole number as I know that wouldn’t be okay to give out but just something that I could try match it up to what I have to see if it is it. Thank you:)

I had a very similar experience and had to swap out my SIM cards (and top up £10 just to listen to that one voicemail!). The number provided in the message had the Irish country code and ended in 787. Good luck!

It's 886 I'd a missed call but they left a voicemail and sent an email for me to contact them.

Email Enquiry

Hi all,
Anyone send an email yet? What address did you use?

Leonv108 9th Jul 2018 09:28

few more days and its interviews already yet still no calls nor emails :ugh:

852 9th Jul 2018 10:17

Few more days and it’s the start of the interviews, they’re hardly going to call you and say get to Dublin in 24 hours.

Suspect they’ll stagger them and if they don’t get enough right candidates then the no call no email crew will be contacted as back ups. In that case I’d say we’d all get rejection emails as I can’t see them not filling the course.

That being said it’s all speculation.

Hi guys,
I propose to vote HERE in order to get a picture of how many applicants passed/failed/are still waiting an answer. We know that Aer Lingus is intented to invite around 180 successful applicants to the next stage. It might help us to see whether we are close to the "limit".
Cheers !

do vote so we can have a little counter going on

voted !...no mail no call camp...amazing how many did not get nothing.. about 90% ..congratulation Tango Hector for your brilliant idea with this voting stuff...cool.....

79er 9th Jul 2018 18:35

Voted.

We have to be aware that these results still need to be interpreted and we must account for mistakes. Yet, it is good idea for some general picture.

Counting this thread, some 6-7 persons reported calls and 4-5 rejection mails. (counted few days back). Did someone get more accurate count?

Unknown is how many were in between.
