Able to pass an airport security vetting procedure, including a five-year background check*
Two verifiable references
Able to obtain an EASA / IAA issued Class 1 Medical, including successfully passing a colour blindness test. Please refer to www.iaa.ie prior to application to ensure you can meet all medical requirements in line with eyesight/colour blindness limitations

*If you are a not an Irish citizen, you will require a current police disclosure certificate from your home country if successful

*If you have resided outside the Republic of Ireland for six months or more, you will also require a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries

Minimum Educational criteria:

You must have passed your Leaving Certificate (6 subjects) or equivalent
You must have obtained O5 grades in English and Mathematics at ordinary level or H6 at higher level in the Leaving Certificate
You must also have a minimum of 2 higher level subjects with a minimum of H5 grades in the Leaving Certificate
*Equivalent grades are as follows:
- GCSE Maths and English must be minimum of grade C plus
- 3 A Levels taken at A2 level in any subject with minimum grades C,C,D

Where the minimum Leaving Certificate or equivalent grades have not been met, you must have one of the following qualifications:

A minimum of a Level 7 third level (ordinary degree) in any discipline
Completed an aviation-related apprenticeship

Please note that you will be required to provide copies of your Leaving Certificate or equivalent (including any third level degree or aviation related apprenticeship) to verify that you meet the essential criteria at the group assessment centre stage in Dublin

Ie: proof of ID (passport, utlity bill/proof of address, photo...), police disclosure certificate, references, colour blindness test, Leaving Certificate results/equivalent/any further studies...
I'm struggling with the police disclosure certificate within the time given as it's a very slow process, but due to the time constraints they only ask for proof that at least you have requested it. I guess that means it will be mandatory only in a possible last stage, or if there is no further stages then maybe just in case they finally choose you.

If you are wondering about the Class 1, they haven't asked for that just yet, only the colour blindness test that you can get from any optician. In their website they specify though "Part of the selection process involves passing a Class 1 and company medical", so maybe they pay for it if you are chosen, who knows.

As long as you have the forms filled out it's fine, and as long as you can prove your academic results it's all good. You aren't expected to have a completely completed police disclosure for the assessment day.

@Jaair - perhaps there is some other document you can provide to prove residence - why would an Utility bill be addressed to you? I do not get the point why do they ask for it.

A utility bill is an accepted form of proof of address, but they also accept bank statements I believe.

We have that address on ID card and passport and it is mandatory data like social security no. I guess a copy of that would be enough.

Got my No NO e mail today ...would have been too good to be true on a first attempt.....but this competition has left me at the beginning of a new journey ..my PPL started and a lot of love for flying ....good luck to all for the next stage !.

Regarding the form, just leave that cell blank. It specifies there something like "new entries will be provided with a number after receiving the form", meaning you don't have one when submitting this.

I wouldn't worry, it says nothing about it having to be in english. This is something all their crew would have had to provide at some stage and they have crew from all across europe, so I'm sure they encounter non english background checks all the time

Sure Thing... That would mean paying at least 200€ for translations. German Leaving certificate costs 90€ to be translated for example (cheap website btw).
And what kind of joke is it to translate a post-it-note from my optician (eye doctor) stating i passed the ishihara... ;)

I would relax at that time... If they want translations, i get them. But not right now.... Too much money for the small chance.

What's the latest info regarding invites? Seemed earlier in the week they were still going through applications, we're now 4 days from the start of the assessments. Are we going to see those who haven't heard yet being rejected or additional assessment days added to cope with the extra volume of applicants?

Yesterday had my first international spam call from some company in Estonia..... Murphy is simply great.. it had to be this week :) Still in no call/no mail camp...

Think it's safe to say, even without emails or call its looking highly unlikely at this point ladies and gents :(
