Use the form that McGinley/Ryanair send you and then wait for the CAA to contact you. They will send you a quick email asking for permission and then process the medical transfer once you've paid the admin fee, I think it was £80

Hi guys,
I had an email on 13th feb stating that they would have called me in the next 14 days, but today is the 19th day after the email and I haven't received any phone call. Anybody experiencing or experienced the same issue? Should I be worried about it? Thank you. Good luck to everybody! |

Where you given a positive reply by RYR? When do you start the TR?! |
On the 'Documents' page on the CAE website it states that the 'English Language Proficiency Certificate' is mandatory, I'm British and lived in the UK all my life and only speak English, do I really need to get a certificate to prove this to Ryanair?

Hi everyone,
I got a call from CAE yesterday. They asked me about by total hours, my pic hours, one or two questions about my certificates, when was my last flight and when are going to expire my medical and my ratings. They asked me if I have a FI rating, which I do. Finally they read me (two times) a short text about fire in flight and they made me 3 questions about it (all answers are in the text): 1. Which is the most dangerous emergency in flight? Fire in the cockpit 2. Which is the most obvious from the fire? Flames 3. Which is the most dangerous from this situation? (something like that...) Smoke and chemical fumes I passed the phone interview and I am going next week to Dublin. Hope it helps ;) |
I got the call yesterday - going on 15th March.
I have to admit to feeling a bit caught out by the short notice. It's been three years since I did my MCC and haven't flown the 737 sim since then. Will try and get some practice in! |
What simulator do they use? Is it comparable to the on at Simtech or www.simchek.ie?
|
Anyone on the CAE1708 course in AMS?
|
Ryanair sim is 737-800 no-motion sim. Really new flies easy just trim!
I use upilot.ie at dub airport and that prep relly help for me. This sim is realistic arrangement but controls are more light feeling otherwise was ideal and cheep and close to Ryanair! Goodluck:ok: |

flyingwise, I didn't feel any major difference in the way the plane handles. |
Hi all,
I just returned from my assessment day in Dublin, really curious about the outcome now. For my preparation I used this website and subscribed to the Ryanair interview package at latestpilotinterviews.com I was able to practice all the interview questions, so I have a really good feeling about the outcome. It is also advised to do a simulator preparation in Dublin the days before the assessment. |
Thanks a lot for this feedback Reegreen.

Is that normal?
Hey Guys,
I applied through CAE to Ryanair on the 28 of February, received the email about the imminent call on the 7 of March. Today I finally got the call from Cindy. All very nice and calm, as usual, I was asked to confirm all the expiry dates of my documents, plus some question about the attempt at the examinations and logged hours. After that, She read a text of about 3/4 lines and asked 3 questions. Everything seemed good to me and to Her... She then told me that all the information has been forwarded to the Amsterdam HQ to check the application. Now, my question is: Is this the normal procedure? Or She would have told me if I had passed? |
