Aeromar I would do the MCC for 2990€ at Sky4you in Berlin at Lufthansa Flighttraining they have approx 40 Sim there and do not do the JOC for 1000€ then before the interview you do 3 hours sim in dublin this cost approx 750€ in my opinion this is the best way to be good prepared and you not waste money.
You fly in the MCC 80% autopilot or flight director it is all about CRM
The 737 Sim is not hard to fly it is like a big Cessna 172.

What base preferences are people putting down on their applications?

I was speaking today with someone who I trained with who has been flying with Ryanair for over a year now and he's heard that people are being chosen for interviews/assessments by what their base preferences are and those who have selected UK bases are not getting a look in at the moment. Has anyone selected a UK base and heard back from CAE/Ryanair?

I put one UK base under my preferences, the others in Europe (can't actually remember exactly what I put, it was six months ago now).

No idea if it makes any difference to whether you get called for assessment or not. I felt that by putting several options that were all quite far apart it would show a willingness to be flexible. In all honesty though I don't think they really look at that stuff and the subject did not come up at all during phone call or assessment day.

I've already done my assessment, went on the 13th. But I was just wondering about the importance they place on the tech interview. I'm sure they place more focus on the sim assessment as this is where the practical side comes in with the situational awareness, CRM, and workload management skills. I was asked about DA42 electrical systems and didn't know an awful lot about it, so I'm worried if they focus quite heavily on your knowledge of previously flown aircraft systems.

General tech questions I'm very comfortable with, like rhumb lines, great circles, all of those things, and even the most difficult ones!

Thanks a lot. So you're saying I shouldn't add the JOC?? To be honest, I was prepared to pay up to 8000€ for the MCC only, so if for 4000€ I can do MCC and JOC, I think I'll go for it. I've the money saved up and, to be honest, we enjoy these things. In case of rejection from RYR, the JOC might come in handy for other airlines.

So, you did your MCC there and you got accepted by Ryanair?

I just can not find any reliable source of information about the number of aircrafts Ryanair has!!!
Even on their website, they say more than 300... and only talk about the option for 100 "737MAX200":confused:

Yes i did my MCC for 2990€ at Sky4you on the same Sim that Ryanair is using and the Instructors are all 737 Pilots a really high training level. And the nice Hotel is 2 min away from Lufthansa Flighttraining it cost 36€ a day. Yust send them a Email they are really friendly and professional.
10000€ is really much you can do there 3MCC and 1 JOC for that money.

No, the Ryanair interview study pack at latestpilotinterviews.com is an online protected course and I don't want to risk anything for just 19,95 euro ;)

So they called from Ryanair and I did the phone interview. She told me they would call me again after they discuss my application and tell me the details of the assessment if it's a positive. I read that if they tell you that they will send an email it's usually not good news, anybody experienced the same as me?
