Opportunita? di carriera - Pilot Recruitment

finally is official:

In light of reduced requirement for cadet pilots in the 2013/2014 recruitment period and the overwhelming demand for places on the cadet programme, the cadet application portal will close from 1st April 2013 until further notice.

All applicants who meet the below criteria and wish to apply should do so before 1st April 2013. Candidates must have completed all aspects of their training before applying for a cadet position.

It will open again one day. Some will upgrade, some will leave.
I hope soon...but maybe the next year, for potential order of 200 aircrafts

PIOSEE 7th Feb 2013 20:25

I'd say RYR will always recruit. Numbers might be less, but there will always be a turnover. It's a healthy profit that they couldn't resist to shy away from. Who knows!

cadet selections

Is it true that ryanair changes the requirements for passing the cadet selection from time to time? Heard of whole batches failing lately while last year the passing rate has been 60-70 percent in some months?! Coincidence or..?

Cadet recruitment

From a very good source, recruitment will continue after 1st April :ok:.

Cadets who apply before 1st April will be still be assessed and placed on courses after 1st April, however, new cadets will not be able to apply after 1st April.

Ryanair recruitement

Is it really true that they have a certain standard, which, if one meets that level, they will take you on? I know many guys passing the assesment last year while this year all of the guys i know that went there failed the assesment :S. Do their preferences for school, nationality etc change and thats why the passing rates change?? Just curious...

jeehaa 9th Feb 2013 11:57

Boeing007, don't get me wrong, but this is not your first 'suggestive'-question. The fact is that nobody knows, except for the recruitment team. They will have no such interest in telling others outside their working area if and why they take or don't take certain guys. There is no factual info about that, other than the numbers of people 'you speak to'. Numbers of failures can give assumptions, but nothing is factual! Bear that in mind.

What I can confirm is: yes they took a lot of guys and girls last year, yes they were from all sorts and forms, yes some of them were from the same flyingschool in particular CAE OAA, some of them were not, yes there were girls, yes there were idiots amongst them.
That they don't seem to take as much cadets as last year, is not more than logic if you bear in mind that more than half of the training for this year is suspended.
If you still want to be in the pool of people that get a chance for a place in the company, go for it, or not, but you will have to decide that for yourself.

Do you mean people that just sended their CV? Because I applied 3 months ago without any reply!

gossetti 10th Feb 2013 12:07

Starting from April will they keep recruiting pilots and arranging assessments? Will they contact people for an assessment from the current database?

jeehaa 10th Feb 2013 12:58

*cough* - are you guys seriously blind or is there another reason why you are not reading previous posts...

ValePilot 10th Feb 2013 14:15

Why? They are not clear I guess!
The recruitment process will stop for everybody or for people that will apply after 1st of April? Who applied before, could have the same an assessment after 1st of April?? This is the question

jeehaa 10th Feb 2013 23:23

To answer your questions at the same time: yes! And that was explained some pages ago.

FlyPing 13th Feb 2013 00:56

Anybody from recent assessments heard anything back?

Boeing007 13th Feb 2013 05:59

It could be very well possible that the reason for the long wait for assesment results is because they compare everyone's results and chose their pick. With so few spots available this year, they are going for the best.

FlyPing 13th Feb 2013 12:33

That would certainly make sense :ugh:

Boeing007 13th Feb 2013 15:32

I mean, it can be.. Right?
The thing is, they tell you at the morning of the interview that they have a certain standard.. If you have that standard, you're in, if not.. Byebye.
No need for competition, if you guys are all up to that standard, we take you all. That's what is said right? But is that still reality? Of course not! Interviews go on at the same rate as last year and they have less than half of the spots available. So there is competition now, in my opinion they will chose the best. Can anyone eleborate?

fulminn 14th Feb 2013 19:22

i had the assessment on january 9, and i wait until february 11 to have a positive response, bad email was sent a week before.
I start type rating on april 8, they are going very slow i think due to the huge quantity of people applyng.
I heard about last 12 TR course in ema and 5 in ams, so will be around 200 new cadet and stop.

Mr Boombastick 14th Feb 2013 20:38

Anyone do the assessment today be prepared to share the q's and sim profiles please....

By pm if you like, I'm up soon and looking for a heads up.

Many thanks

Papa_Golf 15th Feb 2013 17:17

Aviator900 15th Feb 2013 18:17
