Bond

Just a quick question out of curiosity....are this clowns asking for a training bond?..

MD330 6th May 2010 08:01

are this clowns asking for a training bond?..
If that's you view of them or the company, why even bother asking?? :ugh:

Traffic 6th May 2010 11:34

Michael

Don't jump the gun...step one is to understand the difference between 07L/25R and Twy H/J. :ok:

Michael Hunt 6th May 2010 13:04

Sorry Traffic, had already assumed the boys had departed off Whiskey or Victor.

Be lucky if these pricks can find Moscow
.

Oh yes, HKA discovered Moscow and now CX suddenly might finds it..hey!! :ok:

Good luck to all!

PotBoiler 8th May 2010 02:05

Well it will be interesting to see who survives the massive increase in capacity on the HKG/MOW sector - SU continues while CX and HKA will add an effective extra daily frequency with a larger aircraft and then Transaero has also announced a new frequency (albeit a single weekly). Not enough demand for all surely....

HKAforever 8th May 2010 07:39

@Potboiler
You have a point, this situation reminds me of the HKG to LHR route with Oasis coming in and eventually being forced out and going under. Then again, in case you all forget, HKA has Hainan, which Oasis dosen't have. As to where this demand comes from? Who knows? Maybe the Russian mafia has taken an interest to move their cash and residence here? Russian hookers wanting to expand their market presence here?

Bob Hawke 8th May 2010 10:13

Can I hang my hat on that?:8

Storpikk 13th May 2010 13:19

Douchebags

This is my recent experience with this clowns at HKA/HKE, everything that's been said here in this thread is spot on. They are run by amateurs and unprofessional folks that have zero clue in running a real professional airline. How this folks can stay afloat is a mystery to me, the Hainan communists in China must be pouring lots of money in to this dark hole.

Even in todays desperate market you are better off stay away from this outfit.......FAR AWAY!!!.

RE: Russian hookers

How else are the singa snakes going to get laid? They have to pay someone to.

A deal with russian mafia makes sense. They have to hide the money they rape from their staff somehow. Criminals do business with criminals.

You refering to the 'sick ailing' Dick Stew and Dick Lai.?? :ugh: May be but there's some real guys coming along.. as it goes.

Good luck to HKA/HKE.

hongkongfooey 17th May 2010 01:56

Just tried to book a flight to Moscow on the 23rd June, inaugural flight, funnily enough Moscow does'nt even show on the destinations
The closest I could get was Guilin, is that the new hub for HKA to Europe ? Do I get a transfer from there ?
A month to go before the first A330 flight, cutting it a little fine are'nt we ?

NoseGear 17th May 2010 09:49

A genuine question.....whats the plan to operate over the high terrain on the route to Moscow? A fully laden (with gas, not pax:E) A330 is not going to be able to maintain terrain clearance if it loses an engine....have they thought about that? Are there escape routes planned? Does the CAD know (yeah yeah, I know:rolleyes:)?

Good luck, your all going to need it.:hmm:

geh065 17th May 2010 23:28

Aeroflot flies A330-200s on the HKG-SVO route.

Big changes in HKA

Hi guys,

looks like Hainan is really interested in boosting their Hong Kong outfit HKA.
There seems to be a completely different approach to their long range ops and
a refurbishment of the management coming. Loads of international expertise on the way to the harbour. Quite curious if Hong Kong really requires another "big" carrier but as always demand will show.

Fly safe
G.L.

captain.diperkosa 22nd May 2010 12:54

HKA will never be a big airline in Asia. Not for long time like Cathay. Maybe 3 or 5 years only. The money always dry up, and Hainan can not forever give money to HKA.

The only chance this company can grow to large size is new management change. maybe this is coming soon.

But need to change management style. Intimidation can not work in Hong Kong like at Hainan. They need to keep the few expert captain they have. Pay more money, treat pilots better, give allowance for school. allowance for children. This will never happens, pilots always arrive then leave 2 years after. This job only until next job comes. A company can not last with this situation. They will never learn. You will always be treated like slave from China. To them you are a ****.

The same situation after many years. No improvment. Rostering, annual holiday leave, salary, conditions, and treatment from Human resource and management and rostering is rediculous. They think that if pilot only stay 1 year is normal. They forget that training cost is millions, and experience is worth some $$$. They prefer to pay such little and continue training new pilot forever. This can never compete with dragonair or Cathay or Metrojet or Tag aviation in Hong Kong.

HKE is same. Many captain leaving. Now they say experienced check captain resigned. 8 check captains resign HKE in last 2 years. They have only 3 check captain. That is 300% resign. Wow how can they operate like this. Such waste of money and experience.

Stay away. HKA is the joke of the airlines. Senior captain salary less then co pilot at other Hong Kong airlines and asia and world airline.

Harlem 25th May 2010 18:34

When are they going to recive the first A330??? 5 days to start the operation to Moscow...

geh065 26th May 2010 00:39

End of June Moscow starts doesn't it? At least thats what the big poster at the entrance to the airport says.

Sora Bulq 26th May 2010 06:46

A330 Triumphant Launch Date (Delayed)

The board near the airport has recently been amended to June 30, but the website still states June 23. Has anybody seen anything that resembles an A330 in HKA colors as yet?

The whole Hong Kong Aviation world is waiting on this launch. Better entertainment than a three-ring circus.

:D
