so? They failed their proving flight for the AOC? or they still alive and kicking?

captain.diperkosa 9th Jun 2010 13:15

Alive and kicking, but not for long if they do not change.

After 5 years and the website still never working properly. Wish to book flight to Moscow? Sorry site down. oh well, better book with Cathay pacific. it has been this way 5 years. online site never working correctly.

They think better to employ high school student on lowest wages a month to be web site manager, then to hire expert and do the job correct. It like this in all sectors of the company.

THEY LOVE TO LOSE MONEY, and do the worst possible job imaginable. THEY LOVE TO LOSE PILOTS, and continuous train the worst pilots that work for the lowest money in the world.

I LOVE them to lose money and pilots because I am look forward to the day all management get sacked for their ****

Diperkosa or DILIWAT kau kau? You have been wishing ill on this outfit for a long time. If you did not make it or have a gripe against the management , fine BUT WISHING FOR THE COLLAPSE OF THE AIRLINE crosses the line. There are quiet and hardworking folks with families to feed and bills to pay. By virtue of the colonialist attitudes that abound in this forum, some of these folks are denied a chance at making good in other decent outfits. As such they have to stick to this one and make the best of it. To see fellow aviators WISHING ILL ( collapse of the company, wishing for a plane crash to buttress their puerile arguments, etc ) for others is certainly " pariah " behaviour reserved for absolute low lifes. If you have an axe to grind with the management, take them to court or pursue other legal avenues. Just don't behave like the " devils ' who wish harm for others with a broad sweep of their psychopathic tendencies.:=

polochristo 12th Jun 2010 01:32

I totally agree with you mohdawang; wishing ill for the whole company just to satisfy personal grudges is certainly a NO NO for any decent human being. I am also totally flummoxed by the fact that some of those with so much vitriol against HKA are still around in the company:ugh:

Humber10 12th Jun 2010 02:13

I tried to see if I could make a booking to Moscow and had the same problem. You must admit, it is quite bad, if potential customers cant even book a flight. :ouch:

Any improvement in T&C's?

With the industry forecast to improve quickly in the next 6 months a few of my collegues are looking for opportunities elsewhere. I was wondering if HKA has a good enough package to lure me there and keep me for the long term. I am looking for employment to stay until retirement.

Are you looked after there?

Any improvement in the T&C's?

How are you treated?

Has the salary gone up? How does it compare to the other airlines in Asia and Hong Kong?

captain.diperkosa 12th Jun 2010 04:49

mohdawang
I think my opinion and other pilot opinion speak for itself. Acurate story of actual things happen there.

Diperkosa or DILIWAT kau kau?
Yes you can call me Captain Sodomy. I am a pilot, and have been F#cked my entire life.

I will confirm this for you. I have moved and now enjoy life. I hope this airline survive, but hope Management fail. My friends there are looking for new job but if they stay I hope for better things for them.

I never in my life want plane crash. Never. But with management attitude they make it dangerous there. Danger culture. Aggression, fear, no communication. No CRM skill.

You are true about take them to court. We are working on taking to court after more evidence is found. There are many breaking of Hong Kong work law we can win. I can not say more, but I know we have so many evidence against management. They will feel shame and they will need to answer to Hainan leader.

Another new 737-800 has arrived for HKE and the second A330-200 has been rolled out in HKA colours over in France.

What's Happening?

Wow,

I haven't been logged on for a while, I'll have a look at my little baby, and what do I find...

I am so proud, I am also proud to see Ronal's beaming face alongside the gweilo pilot's who are lookig after the A330 for HKA. He has seen the light after all, where are the double Dick's? One is on life support and the other one has been banished to the far reaches of line-driver hell (for arguing with Mao Tse Lim). Where is Mdm Wu Wu (in the sexy red cheongsam and high heels), over at HKE, apparently banished for arguing with Mao Tse Lim.

How thing's change, any bets on when HKA finally get to launch Moscow? (My old home town). Good to be back!

Any idea on pay, roaster, night stops on the B738 fleet?Thank you

AAIGUY 17th Jun 2010 07:21

Pay Sh*t.. not enough to live on..Management the biggest joke in town,
Safety... none.
and if you're so naive after seeing this entire thread then you are the perfect
candidate for HKA.. enjoy!

You've got to be F:mad: joking...another one, I give up!:ugh:

Go fourth and prosper comrade, these guys are wonderful. CX and KA are far inferior to HKA, they have the 'big picture' and will suceed with their great leaders at the helm.:E

There is some useful info in this thread - there are also a lot of insults and ranting from some of the many pilots who have been sacked or lied to! Try pages 43 and 45 for a start. The info is a bit old but mostly still true.

For an idea of the Chinese management style see; Punishment for not reciting "apothegm"

I know 2 pilots who recently joined HKA and they are really regretting their decision. They were complaining that everything is badly organised, mostly due to cost cutting. No information, no help with HKCAD exams, no time for finding accommodation after their 2 weeks in a cheap hotel finishes (they were surprised how expensive rent is in HK), sim sessions in PEK cancelled, hotel in PEK not booked, no uniform, pay for your own medical etc etc. For example, HKA does not pay employees for ANY phone calls. So if you have a problem outside HK and need help, whether on line or training, the phone calls are at your expense. No taxi or meal expenses either.

The other problem they've found is that most pay is duty pay. So no flying = very low basic pay. Until HKA has a stable fleet, stable routes and stable pilot numbers the flying hours will, by necessity, be very low.

Fly747 17th Jun 2010 13:56

Think +ve

The only positive I can think of here is that when CX/KA start recruiting again as they surely will, then anyone in HKA will be in HKG and ready to go with a HKCAD licence. It has happened before.
