Qatar Amari (Royal) F/As - advertised today
In the Australian today, Qatar advertised for cabin crew for their Amari flights. I believe these are basically Royal Private Jets ( I'm sure someone will clarify !!)
Minimum requirements included 5 years cabin crew experience, cabin crew supervisory experience, and First Class trained.
Sounds interesting, might throw my hat in the ring !!
Anyone have any info on this section of Qatar ?

Yes it is royal as well as government official flights.
You also get to fly innitialy on main line for hands on experience.
ofcourse better than the main line flying.be careful, though, its the same QATAR AIRWAYS management, which is hopeless!
you get fantastic accomodation, good money, lots of hard work, **** CEO and many "cut-throats"!
Be also informend it is not as rosy as it used to be and lots of crew are leaving too.
The fleet has A340/ A319bj/ A310,with multi national crew.
But its worth trying, and go ahead!
Good luck!

Language requirements for QR Amiri CC?
Been watching this space for some time now, but haven't found answer to my question... how does cabin crew work for QR (and also other Gulf carriers) without the knowledge of Arabic language? As I understand there is no requirement for potential candidates to know Arabic in order to be employed by QR (EK,GF). Gulf is very cosmopolitam etc, but there is a number of Qataris and they are flying as well... so, do they all really speak English/German/French etc etc in order to communicate with cabin crew or are there local, Arabic speaking cabin crew among them???
Sorry if I sound silly with this, but ads for ground based staff vacancies usually require knowledge of Arabic... so where's the difference?

No I cannot agree to that. At qatar and other places, arabic is not at all a must to join flying.
Crew from non arabic speaking countries are recruited as language speakers and for the purpose of arabic language, there are crew recruited from arabic speaking countries.
On every flight there is atleast one arabic speaker and there have been occations where aircrafts took off with none of them, even on regional arabic sectors.
With regards to ground staff, the same system applies. however if you know arabic, ofcourse it carries more weight!

Arabic speaker at QR
Thanks HKG.
As I understand there is not a single Qatari working as CC for QR so that authomatically means there are Arabic CC at QR from other Arabic speaking countries than Qatar... or am I wrong again?

Qatar Amiri Flight
Qatar Amiri was good in the old days taba dont you agree lots of good trips and lots of nice crew but thanks again to The Bouncer from Mothercare he changed all that, loads of crew left and they then had to move accommodation which was not as nice as the old one, although better then what QR mainline crew have.
As for working on mainline first sorry I just would not lower myself to that IF I was employed to working on Amiri. Never heard anything like it being given a VIP job and having to fly as ordinary crew for the airline first. Complete Shizers.
If you want to get some VIP experience then yes go for it and keep looking for other jobs cause you meet up with other vip crews and hear of jobs and keep networking.
The money is better than mainline crew get but as for vip jobs you could get more elsewhere and not have to put up with QR management or
The Bouncer from Mothercare
Hope this helps. Taba hows life with you hope you enjoying yourself.

hi taba
Tabs, answer to your question is "NO".
There are no qatari cc working for Amiri.not even any arabic crew.
To work for amiri, arabic language would be a disqualification,I was told. (wonder if its true ).
Yes the good old and the one and only qatari cc we ever had,.. ,he was terminated too!

There have been a few flights in the past which have gone out with Cabin Crew who did speak arabic.
Generally as a rule NO ONE is allowed to speak arabic as the passengers do not want you to understand what is being said on board the a/c
If anyone is thinking about joining them go for it but keep your options open and get the experience and then move on to bigger and better however I do think it is unaccepitable to be employed on Amiri but to do flying firstly on QR Mainline. Who ever came up with this is real smart NOT but then again it probably was The Bouncer from Mothercare.
As for the one Qatari cabin crew who was terminated he just turned up for work when he felt like it and never did anything on the flights anyway.

That's right...then there was the incident with the " female species?" in MNL!
HKG, thanks!
GC, I'm fine subject to no further vicious rumours circulating, and just had a short hop back to UK ( work ) and then spent most of the VS flight propping up the J/C bar! Excellent!
