is anyone happy?

Is there anyone out there who actually likes the company they work for? I am looking to move airlines because i'm affraid one day i will wake up as bitter and twisted as most of the people that i work with. I used to love my job but their constant moaning drags everyone down. .I personally feel they don't have much to complain about, sure there is the odd mess about with the roster's but no more than anywhere else and the money is good. Can anyone give me some advise before i go insane, it's turning my dream career into a nightmare

Post Happy?

It doesn't matter where you work, there will always be something to moan about. There will always be someone who always moans.
I know it's hard to keep up being happy when people around you moan...but just try not to listen to that. Because as soon as you give in you find yourself moaning and it's really hard to stop. I know, believe me.
So, unless you have a very serious reason to leave, stay where you are!

Yes, I am happy!!!!!
That is so true Sweety, people will always moan or complain about something, so just keep stable in your own ideas, and carry on being the way you feel inside. It works for me

I am happy too pilot's pal. The day I found myself complaining, I carried out a serious evaluation of my future career. What would have meant moving or staying. I decided that it was worth trying to change for better pastures. We don't get any younger, and this is a very important data in the equation. In my case, the most important question was: "will I be able to carry on here until retirement?" because I love my job and wouldn't do anything else. The answer being definitely "no", I moved on and I am glad I did. But remember, I changed for something better. There's no point on changing from a company X to go Y when X=Y.

Sure, I'm happy: But that is despite the efforts of my employer, not because of them. Virtually All your problems are on the ground - as soon as the doors close, you have some small degree of control over your immediate future and can start to make things go better.
It still surprises me how many people who don't fly for a living feel that they are competent to issue instructions to those who do
Flying remains the best way I know to make a living - I've never regretted starting all those years back.

Talking Happiness is a warm bed.

I am happy now. Left flying in March, and manage to sleep in my own bed most nights. (Unfortunately on my own most of the time. )

My new employer isn't really much better than the old Green Tails of (Just Means Caledonian), and on from wednesday starting industrail action for fair pay and working conditions, but at least I am much happier.

I have to say I am happy with my job! I DO go through times when I question what I do and sometimes I think the job of being a flight attendant does not stimulate my mind and my brain is turning to mush. But I have to remember the perks. I love all my time off, my seniority allows me to get my days off and most trips I bid for. I also work for a charter that allows for great layovers. What I don't gain in knowledge in my actual day to day work tasks I gain in travelling to different countries. As my father pointed out, I have learned much more from my travels then I ever would pushing papers behind a desk. I used to think my parents were not proud of me ( my dad is a successful bizman) but they have told me otherwise and are so proud of me! Remember the positives and don't listen to the moaners who should not be in the industry dealing with our public masses. I know some flights are trying but think about why you do LOVE it. If you feel that your unhappy most of the time... well, perhaps it is time for a new career. Unfortunately when cabin crew switches companies all our experience is levelled and we go back to being a junior f/a sitting on reserve or terrible shedules! Think twice before you leave as the grass always seems greener. I talk to ppl from lots of different airlines and they all complain about one thing or another. We have great jobs!! Everytime I think negative, I remember how hard I tried to get into my airline!
Safe and happy flying to all.
