I have to say I am happy with my job! I DO go through times when I question what I do and sometimes I think the job of being a flight attendant does not stimulate my mind and my brain is turning to mush. But I have to remember the perks. I love all my time off, my seniority allows me to get my days off and most trips I bid for. I also work for a charter that allows for great layovers. What I don't gain in knowledge in my actual day to day work tasks I gain in travelling to different countries. As my father pointed out, I have learned much more from my travels then I ever would pushing papers behind a desk. I used to think my parents were not proud of me ( my dad is a successful bizman) but they have told me otherwise and are so proud of me! Remember the positives and don't listen to the moaners who should not be in the industry dealing with our public masses. I know some flights are trying but think about why you do LOVE it. If you feel that your unhappy most of the time... well, perhaps it is time for a new career. Unfortunately when cabin crew switches companies all our experience is levelled and we go back to being a junior f/a sitting on reserve or terrible shedules! Think twice before you leave as the grass always seems greener. I talk to ppl from lots of different airlines and they all complain about one thing or another. We have great jobs!! Everytime I think negative, I remember how hard I tried to get into my airline!
Safe and happy flying to all.
