should I, or should'nt I

hello...please please give me some advice..., I'm a bit torn in whether I Should move to Abu Dhabi or not...I was so thrilled I got the job offer and passed the assessment day and everything but now I don't know if it's worth moving there after all.... I do have a really great job where I live at the moment and my salary is 4 times as big as the salary I'd get from Etihad initially...do you really 'survive' on the pay they give you?!
I would love love love to fly of course...and it seems like an exiting life to be cabin crew, but is Etihad really that great ???
Would it be better to apply to..hm, lets say... Virgin Atlantic maybe?

Are there any other Swedes here? would love to have chat!!

Why did you apply then if your current job is fantastic with a great pay package to go with it? Sorry but if you're doubting it now then you don't really want this job...?? Or have I got it wrong?

Do you know people would do anything to get this job!

Hi Guys!

What would you do if you ara Cabin Crew and you pour wine on a passengers suit? This question is asked at Etihad interviews and I would like to know what to answer! My answer would be apologizing, apologizing and may be offering the customer a free lavation borne by me at Abu Dhabi Airport or something like that! What would you say???? Help me!!!!!!

Fine,

I can see that I'm dealing with experienced expats there....
Enjoy then if it's so good.
You won't be able to say that you were not warned.
See you aboard.

Apoligise to the pax, offer clean moist towels to clean up. Soda water as well if it was red wine to reduce the stain.
Inform the Cabin Service Manager and your cabin Team Leader at once. This just in case the pax becomes angry, they have been trained to deal with it and HAVE dealt with it before.
Just remember not to worry about this. Doesn't matter, it has happened in across all the cabins.
You may want to say to the CSM it was the turbluance that added to the mistake ( don't tell the interviewer that ).
The interviewer is looking for a certain response.....
# Did you aplogise to the pax?
# What action did you take?
# Did you inform your Team Leader and CSM???
# Was the matter resolved.
# Communication amongst the crew and Team Leaders.
Telling the CSM & T.L is to cover you incase the pax becomes angry, he or she may have had 7 glasses of wine before the spill and is now PISSED(pardon the pun).
The CSM & T.L have been trained to deal with this matter, and trust me. They have dealt with this many time in the past before.
Hope this helps.

They will more than likely help you fill out the forms for the bank, its it easier for them to do it that way cuz they need an account to put your money in. They will choose the bank for you as they probably have a special deal going with one. Like everything in the M.E....
Secondly it's monthly like everything overhere.
Last question, if that is the date you have been given TAKE IT. Othewise you will be put at the bottom of the list as some many other applications for people wanting to join are on hold.
If your date to come is 1st Jan next year, good on ya, YOUR IN BABY!!!!!!!. All you got to do is pass those tests.

Hey,

I was scheduled for the batch which is trained on the 16th of dec, unfortunatly i have been put on the 27th of Jan for whatsoever reason which i don't know. I have resigned from my previous company; that was an advice from ey and end up without a job, no health insurance and no salary and for 2 months nice isn't it ? lol

my question is : is there anybody who is starting the training b4 the 27 of jan ?

is there anybody who is put on the same situation ?

message me pls.

OK, Eihad won't assist you with the bank forms. They aren't that hard. That's what bank reps are for.

They don't choose the bank for you, but will have banks come and see you at the training centre. You are an adult so can choose yourself.

Yes there are deals but mainly for mortages and larger loans which at this stage you wont be after...

Try HSBC as they tend to be far better organised than Nat Bank of Adu Dhabi (NBAD) and you seem to get credit cards etc faster.Your call. Plus it's more global....... But NBAD has a branch at the Airport.

Watch out for greasy slimey bank reps who say how nice your eyes look, urgh!

Copy your visa and get many passport photos and copies of your passport as well, you'll need them to do things as your passport will be taken off you on day one for visa processing.

Yes, pay is monthly on the 25th so you get it about 2 days later.

Staff travel comes out of your salary.......

Don't be afraid to aks questions of the Tech Crew. They will understand and can normally offer better suggestions in the early part. Some other F/As can be quite childish.....

Have a good Christmas and see you all next year sometime...

PS - EYner, phone or email them stating your situation and ask if there is any remote possibility that you can start sooner, maybe someone can't start as soon......
