Ummmmmmmmm I think you are kind of missing the point of the bunker activity. There is no correct answer they just want to see how you work as a team to decide who to chose.

Just try not to sit there and say nothing or be too forceful. Let the other people in your group speak if you disagree with them see that you do it dipmlomatically etc etc

Hi there

yes of course! You are right! Is it true that Etihad also checks you in mathematic tests?? Oh my God if I dont have my calculator I even cannot count from 1 to 3 Do they also measure your weight? I am 6kg over the weight I should have but all tell me that I look very normally, of course I am but you never know how strict airlines are, especially those in the Middle East

Well my brother is living in Abu Dhabi and we are going to visit him next summer and if Etihad has not invited me until that time I will show up at their Head Office and dropp off my CV!!!

Good night I am going to sleep sooooooooooooooooo tired!!!

Is there anyone at all who is joining (as in relocating to Abu Dhabi for training) Etihad in January 2008? February?

Seems like a substantial number of people are going over THIS month...

help! :-)

Hello all,

I applied to Etihah through a recruitment company and heard back by email a few days later.. the email said that I had progressed on to the next stage and had to call them etc. it also said that the recruitment company would let me know about actually meeting the team.. What I dont get is that he did not tell me anything about that, he just asked me some questions about myself and made sure that I fill the basic requirements then he said that I would hear from them in 1-2 weeks..

Has anyone been in a similar situation?! I thought they had selected me for an interview but I guess not yet...

Yes, I've been through that in London. Quite a silly and laborious process if you ask me. Applying to EY through their website is much better in my opinion as there won't be a recruitment agency to decide the fate of your application. Good Luck.

Wink To Midadi

The M.E do contuct weight checks. And they are quite strict on it. So if you are a little on the tubby side of things you will have to loose weight. Of course they will not come out and say your a big fat fatty to your face, they will say for "HEALTH REASONS" you have to go on a diet. If you don't loose the weight you may get a "warning". This is because your fat a#se might cause you to have a heart attack, and the the the plane will have to dirvert because of you.

Then again, what pax wants to look at fat cabin crew. Pax very seldom see the flight deck so thats why there weight are not monitored to closely.

I WISH I could say I was joining in Jan! I passed the final interview on late November and still haven't heard back from them...it's been nearly 3 weeks. I kept in contact with the other 8 final selected applicants and so far:

5x have been put on hold
1x rejected
3x have heard nothing from them yet (including me)

Therefore, I was curious to hear from anyone that was going over there next month, because most of the people from my group have been put on hold and we're not really sure why... I'm sure they have perfectly valid reasons.. but in the meantime we're still waiting for *any* answer.......

Dear Midadi ,
dont worry much about the weight issue as long as you look propotional to your height then its gonna be alright . During assessment they wont check your weight , its only gonna be the reach test .

It went rubbish for me..lol. I completed the form for the agency, they sent me an email saying that I have been successful to the next stage and I had to ring them. I did, and was asked a few questions, non interview ones, such as height, illnesses blah blah blah. A couple of days later I received an email saying I had not been successful. There is no way I wanted to go through an agency, the sole reason I did was because the EY website crashed on me several times and then locked me out, which meant I could not process with my application and even asking their IT Dept to sort it out was like me banging my head against a brick wall!

I would advise that you apply to EY on their website, forget the agency. Since you have already applied through the agency, there is no harm I feel in applying directly with the company as I think your chances are higher in getting a call.

Good Luck

hahah, sounds like I am in the exact same situation as you were when you applied.... not feelin optimistic about it at all now.. the reason why I aplied through the agency was cos I was adviced to as there is no open day or assessment day in my country anytime soon..so i was told that I wont hear anything from Etihad in the near future although I am willing to travel somewhere to meet the Etihad recruitment team..

I heard from the agency almost straight away (although i can see from what you wrote me that you may have been in the same situation as me..)

I applied to Etihad 3 weeks ago... so yeah if i dont get a "yes" from the agency itll prob be a long while before i hear from Etihad........

Thanks,

missydk

can anyone hlp me??

Why do the different recruitment companies have different requirements i.e on the Etihad website you have to be educated to at least seconday education and for some of the recruitment agencies you have to be aducated to highschool standard?????

I dont get it as they are all recruiting for etihad.

Hi Missdyk! You have to follow the Etihad requirements because they are those who will hire you, not this silly recruitment agency! I applied 2times via a recruitment agency and I had really nice experiences with them! For those who are residing in Europe I can recommend

-www.best-aviation-jobs.com Here your contact person is Mariola Tamnichka! She is soooooooooooo nice and helpful and you just have to register and you will get an invitation if you meet the minimum requirements!!!!! Mariola organises Open Days for Emirates Airline in Eastern Europe and Germany!

next one (Etihad)
-www.flyhigh.sk. Here your contact person is Maria Zilkova, I called her and she was also so nice to me!!! She invites candidates for Etihad Assessment days also in Eastern Europe (Prague, Warsaw, Bratislava etc.)

As i live in central Europe it is not a problem for me to go to these destinations with the help of easyjet or ryan air or other low cost carriers! I hope I could have helped you and wish you every success!!!!

thanks but....

hey there, even the Etihad (sky high) one you mentioned has a minimun requirement of Highschool... I wrote Maria an email but never got a reply.. Are you sure one can apply to all these different agencies or are you supposed to only apply for one??

Medicals question

Hey guys!

I know it's too early to ask, but I need to find out. Those who are already in Abu Dhabi, did you have to do all the vaccination? I don't have any, since I have an allergy.
Will the laws of UAE permit me to come without vaccination?
I haven't received the happy to inform you letter, but still I want to prepare.

Thanks
