EY is a new airline which may be needed recruitment specialists`tips! And as EK is recruiting for several years they might work together in screening applicants! But I don`t know! it can be! I just had this in mind as one of my friends also told me once that EK and EY work very close together and he has a travel agency where he has a lot to deal with those airlines!!! You never know!!!

For Iana

DEAR IANA,
the Protos guy also told me the same thing - that we will start in January! But the women from ETIHAD told us something different! It has to do with the fact that they don't have anymore room or space to begin training with other groups until march!!! The Protos guy also told me that we don't need to know to swim, and I specifically asked him about this, because I DID SOME RESEARCH BEFORE APPLYING and it seemed to be a needed skill!
So, no matter what the recruitment firm says you can't trust them 100%!!!
He also said that the contract will be for 2 years, ETIHAD people said it will last 3 years!!!
So, good luck!!! And don't worry if you don't get it! There will be others!!!

Re: TIGHTSLOT

I Did My Research!!! But I Think That If I Wrote About The Informations That Seemed A Bit Strange, After Hearing About Them From Etihad, Not Other Sources, Was Not So Wrong!!!
And I'm Not Beautiful!!! So I'm Not Upset That They Didn't Chose Me Because Of Miss Features!!! I Was Expecting To Be Rejected Because Of The Way I Look!!! - Not A Catwalk Model!!!
And I Wasn't Under The Impression That The Way You Look Matters So Much For Them, But I Didn't Think That It Will Matter So Less...
Maybe I Seemed To Be Very Angry But Trust Me This Wasn't Me Throwing A Temper Tantrum Over Their Refusal, This Was Me Trying To Let Everybody Know What Happened! - With The Good Things And The Bad Things!!!
I Was Under The Impression That Here You Can Post News Of General Interest And I Think That Most Of The Questions That Pop Up Are Related Directly To What I Was Telling In My Messages!!!
Sorry If I Bodered Anyone With My Honesty! This Is How I Am And I'm Not Going To Change My Inner Being For Anything In The World!
Ok? - And, I Repeat, This Is Not Me Throwing A Temper Tantrum!!!i Am An Outspoken Girl!!! Do I Make My Self Clear?
Thank You!

Thanks for the local knowledge...Is there a reason why such high numbers resigned in one month alone? It is no secret that the Middle Eastern airlines have a high turn over as most tend not to renew their contracts. In this case is must be due to another reason I assume?

Just very curious on this matter....

That is very interesting, but its difficult to interpret what that actually means if you don't provide more context..

Be prepared to be worked to the maximum and then have crew control lie to you and get you to work some more.

Be prepered to be permanently tired.

Rosters change daily, think you're off to KL and find out you're off to LON (in winter...), wrong clothes..... so you get a taxi back to change your suitcase.

Min rest hurts after a while. Your crew shuttle can take 90 min from p/up to work and same home. Off 11 hrs, thats 8 (after travelling) for sleeping, eating, washing, shopping, and whatever else you can fit in...

However on some overnights you can actually get to enjoy yourselves. If you go out with the crew you're with and not be a slam click. Room service usually costs more than a night out.

Just be aware and use the job, then move on to greener pastures.

Use the crew to make sure c/crontrol is being honest, ask questions if not sure. Even the F/Deck can help.

But have fun. Abu Dhabi can be quite social.

We're all in this together. F/Deck apparently are also leaving due same issues.

Sorry saw some more questions...
Money, yeah is a small issue, accom is generally OK to nice & getting better. Rosters - well the problems start here, very hard to plan anything, too busy working.... to tired....

congratulations to you! hope you are in!!!!!

@missdk: I sent you a private message, just check it!!

Etihad is really slow with recruiting!!!!!!! They don`t have the space and the infrastructure to handle all those applicants who are applying at the moment! Some even never get any answer although it is mentioned don their website that they are fair with everybody and anybody who meets their minimum requirements will be screened during assesment days! bla bla bla this is bull****!

N.B Got the invitation for Assessment Day in Munich with Emirates Airline! I don`thave to go to the open Day! Assessment day is one week later in ....... hotel........not allowed to tell more

Sylvestria, thanks for your answer. HMmm strange. Youre lucky you passed so fast. Maybe because of the holidays. Maybe cause it's their first time recruiting from Moldova. Now I'm really worried(((( Guess I won't sleep till I don't get a real offer. I really need changes in life!!

Oh yeah sorry...
Well perhaps you are from EU and the process is faster. I saw the medicals, seems like a lot of things to get done. Maybe they just said so, cause its the first time they hire from Moldova, and they are not sure how long will it take with the clearance and visa.

Well I'll just have to wait and see.

Thanks for your support.

Congrats on the job with EY. Its strange how they are not getting anyone to start training until February, then again its the same at EK right now. Enjoy your Xmas and New Yr as February is only round the corner and you will find that time flies and you too will soon be flying...to start with EY. Good Luck

??

Hi Everybody,

I had my assesment day more than a week ago and i made it to the final interview. Now i got an email from EY saying that my application on hold at the moment but will remain active for the next 3 months.
Actually i was expecting the "happy to inform you" letter, so i got a bit desperate.
For those of you who got hired, how long you had to wait for the final answer?
Or should i take this email as a rejection???
I am really wanting this so much, but this waiting is killing me..

Application on hold means just that, your application is on hold. It does not mean that you have been rejected. It would seem that EY are short on training courses and trainers, hence putting applicants on hold and some having to wait ages until they get a training/joining date. Your option is to just wait and regularly get in contact with them to check the status of your application.
