Oh well, I'm not too worried. She did call me this moring (at 8 my time, I was sleeping!!) to confirm it, and I've read travelstories of other swedish/finnish girls going 2 work for Etihad who also got their tickets at wednesday b4 departure...

Oh, does anyone know how strict they are abt the shirts beeing white? I would love 2 be able 2 wear something but white for a whole month!! Or if u're aloud 2 wear a pullover on the top or smthn... Might be a bit hot though.. Any advise anyone??

hahaha... yah, thats what I meant =). I might have 2 practice my english skills a bit, specially the writing part... Um.

I sent in my online application in may, and I got an invitation in october!! I had totally forgotten abt it by then, but I dropped everything I had and went. They only gave me 3 days notice too. 3 stressfull days trying 2 find a place 2 take all of the pics... They want a full length pic in buisness attire. If u don't have it they'll let u send it in later, which will prolong the waiting time.

i had the Etihad assestment day yesterday in Budapest, i made it to the final interview with 12 other people.
How sure if i got the job or not...cos i heard that the ones who made it to the final are hired basically, but the Etihad team didn't say anything, i have to wait for their final answer.

pls tell me, usually how does it go?

I sent in my online application last week and was just wondering how long it usually takes for a reply?! also, I am living in Copenhagen and as far as I can see there is no assesment day here.. Will they then not send me a mail anytime soon or will they refer me to another assesment day in a country near by??

I don't think anyone can really answer this question! There was a rumour that they only were hiring a specific number from Scandinavia at my assesment day so when i had my personal interview I asked about it. She just laughed and said that they took whoever they see fit for the job. So theres no general ratio, if u're what theyre looking 4 they'll hire u.
All u can do is wait... Which really sux! But good luck anyways!

hi guys, i've spoken to koko from Etihad 2 days ago, confirmed to join the 16th Dec Training.
He also told me to do the medical when arrive UAE.
anybody had the same experience?
Can someone tell me what's happening next normally?
and how long will i receive the visa and ticket?

Thanks for the reply Sylvestria.. But what I really meant to ask is if they will invite me to an open day somewhere else as there isn't one in Copenhagen?!? They seem to be recruiting all over Europe but not Copenhagen. Has anyone else had that problem??? It's weird, as none of the airlines seem to go to Copenhagen but they go to Sweden, Finland and norway...

I applied last year in december and got a not shortlisting message from Etihad in June 2007! I applied again for assessment in December as the 6 months for re-applying will be over in december! I hope that they contact me as I attached new pics and documents to my online application! I hope they short list me now!!!!!! Thank you all for your great support!

my assesment day was in Malmö, so there was a bunch of danish ppl there as well. I have no idea how they are abt if u wanna go 2 other countries... Maybe u could specify that in ur online application? Or if someone else here has a better idea =).

Inshallah (if god wants, learn it if u don't know it!) they will send u a contract some time before departure. U'r ticket will arrive by e-mail the wednesday before departure, and it will be for friday or saturday as I understood it. So just pack ur stuff and say ur good-byes!

Sylvestria, just out of curiosity do you know whether any Danes got in or not?? I'm just wondering how many Danes are working for Etihad..hadn't really thought about that.. But to be honest I'm not the kind of person who goes abroad only to hang out with my own countrymen.. I like to meet people from all over the world.. I guess most do since they leave their country in the first place:-)

I Made It!! 16th December!!!

Hey guys!!! I will be flying over on the 16th Dec!
I did my Sydney assessment on the 3rd Nov, and just received the contract and will be doing my medicals in Sydney. Is anyone else doing the same? it would be nice to go over there with someone!!

Hi

My daughter Caroline did her medicals before she left Perth and again in Abu Dhabi. You should receive an email telling you to do your meds. Check your status page on the Etihad site to see if the medicals forms are there for you to download. Hope this helps.

My daughter received her visa and ticket 24 hours before she left Perth. So you have to be well prepared to depart at short notice.

I recieved my contract today!! So ya all, stop worrying. I'm starting the 9th of december, so maybe u will get urs after a week or so!
