skt84: If you go to a private doctor there should not be a problem with you getting x rays, it's not required that Emirates write something else, just show the doctor your medical documents and that you need an xray

I wish you all the best I also got etihad, but when I got EK there was no doubt whatsoever. The reason is that I know many from both EY and EK and I know Ek is better. But if I hadn't got EK i would have loved to work for EY!!

I had to wait 5 weeks for my results from Dubai after my final interview, had mine in London March 12. With Etihad I heard back after 2 weeks.

The medicals with EK involves eyecheck, dental check, vaccinations, hearing, general questions, and x rays. The x rays have to be brought to dubai when you move out, or you can take them there and they will take it off your salary..Also bloodtests;hiv a.s.o.


I had to book appointments with a dentist, doctor, radiologist, a place to take vaccinations and another doctor for the hearing thing

The same with EY but no need for hearing test and the eyesighttest is not that complicated. However you need more vaccinations with EY..

Really, good luck, hope you get them both or at leat I hope you get Emirates

final interview

Hi, I am new on this forum, Amazed me how everyone on this forum are so helful and encouraging.
I had my final interview in Malaysia, cos there was recruitment in hk. The girls and I were thrilled when we were accepted on the open days, a month later, we were invited back for screening and assessment. Now that was nerve breaking. 4 eliminations later. only 15 left. I must said, we were drained being evaluated the whole process. There were so many pretty young girls. I don't really know how some poeple were chosen. I worked in the airlines industry before. Not that I am any better. but I don't know why some young girls in the airlines industry were not chosen.
But I just want to say to those who's been invited back to final interview. Pls don't worry too much, just be yourself. Mine was last week. after reading the forum, I know it is tiring to wait. Just do your best, and even if you don't get in, glad you made some friends and have fun. I don't know how long do ii have to wait. Good luck to those who going to the final interview. Feel free to ask me anything regards to the interview process. i will tell you as much as i know.http://www.pprune.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbs.gif

final interview

i had my final interview in malaysia, does anyone know how long will it take for them to respond? I resubmitted my photos by registered mail. how do i know they receive it? how much would the medical check cost in KL? pls help.

not sure how long they told me between 2 - 4 weeks but i think that is wishful thinking. we had our final interview on 6th May and a sent my photos a week later. a dont know but someone told me 6 weeks so its just a waiting game xx

It can take from a week til many more I waited 5 weeks
You can phone them and make sure they have recieved your photos, number is listed here on an earlier post.

I do believe EY will get you a faster promotion, besides you will start work in business straight away. But EK pays way more and you can get into business after 10 months if you don't have sick days

EY is an exciting airline, no doubt about that! It depends on whether you want to work for a huge brand like Emirates and be part of that group and enjoy those benefits. With Emirates you have really good career prospects besides working in the air! EK takes really good care of you as well, I don't have any regrets I chose EK over EY!!

i never knew EK paid more i was working it would and i thought they were about the same! Do you think EY just put there wages up or mabye i am working it out wrong. i no what you mean by EK huge brand etc as everyones heard of EK and no one really knows who EY is. I also think Dubai would be easier to adjust that mabye Abu Dhabi. I really just hope i get one of them! How long have you been there now xx

Hello i read theres an open day in melbourne tomorrow, i was wondering do i have to apply to turn up or i could go in and have a chat with them? Does this open day actually involve interview processes or just a chat with recruitment? I didn't have time to apply online, should i bring my CV with me?
