Emirates Recruitment

Hi,

I just want to know more about what type of person would fit to Emirates as cabin crew even if I don't have experience working as a one...

Thanks!

According to me, Emirates look for youthful, energetic, easygoing yet mature crew.
you never know if you fit until you apply, the good thing is that Emirates know exactly what they are looking for, if you fit, youre in.
cheers.

Cabin Crew Essentials.

I was on a recent flight from DXB to JFK and judging from my observation, I fully disagree that any and anyone can do this job!. Firstly you will require patience doing these flights as I saw where during boarding the crew were greatly stressed from demands by the pasengers and we were still on the ground.
Secondly being a multi-national crew there needs to be utmost understanding on the behaviour and attitude of the crew as often times there were pronounced conflict amongst crew members.
Effective communication is vital when information is being passed regarding passenger information. I remember having to wait 30 minutes for a form and had to ask a second time before it was delivered.
I strong believe that the company is growing way to fast for it to really enhance their service. The ICE is excellent and the food is superb and I must say I had excellent service from crew in my section.
Thats just my opinion.

We are always keen to broaden our skills and knowledge through professional development and Emirates Aviation College is able to provide this for cabin crew.

Talking Emirates Recruitment

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the rejoinder! I do believe that anyone who is flexible enough to do the job definitelygets more chances of being hired but of course, those 'anyones' have to be 'culturallyfit' for the company... I don't have any hint of what their company culture, vision and mission would be... although I've read their company overview from the website, I would still like to know these essential information because this will give everyone the chance to be aligned with their standards... thus bigger chances of closing a sale! do you guys agree with me?

Devil ek recruitment

Hi Asikius!
What do you mean by culturally fit???
Emirates' got more than 110 different nationalities among the cabin crew!
It is your personality and what you can bring from your culture which will make the difference.
R u sure u red their website?
The main hint is 'treat people the same way u'd like to be treated'
Anyone can apply! Isn't it great?
The real question is can you fit in the aisle?

Open Day

Hi Guys,

I just have a question I need to ask. Im currently planning on attending an open day at the end of the month. The only thing is Im still at univeristy and wont be finishing until the end of May. Do you think I should still go for the open day and hopefully if I make it through I can just put them off to May or shoud I wait a while before going for it. I know that if you dont make it at the interview you have to wait another year to apply and i dont want to get that long to re apply .

Just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation.

thanks

hey irishemate,
I am still employed at a company, but got recruited by Emirates this week, they are more than hapy to wait for you if you've made it, provided that you join within six months of your application.
the process itself could take you about two to three months.
So good luck at Uni, and at the open day!
go for it!

Hiv Test?

Hi!
I saw somewhere at the emirates website (canīt find it now!) , that if u r selected once you get 2 Dubai an HIV test will be taken, if the results means that someone is HIV+, will be reported inmediatly to his country. Is that true?!?!?!

Thanks for getting back to me, much appreciated. I will be turning 40 soon. I spoke to a friend of a friend of a friend who recently atttended an open day in London who posed the question to the Emirates recruiters. He said that their response was that they had no upper end age restriction, only a lower one being minimum age of 20. However, he said that the friend who was 38 didn't get invited to the next day of interviews after the information day.

I'm pretty sure that I read on this site somewhere that someone's wife was going to apply and she was in her 40's and whether Emirates crew thought she had a chance. I might be getting confused though, not sure if she was intending to apply to Emirates.

Perhaps the recruiters just say that they don't have an upper age limit for discrimination reasons but are told not to accept anyone over the age of 35.

I guess you're right though, you don't know unless you try. I just think that if it is the case, I wish they would put it in print like other airlines do, especially those in the middle east who do advertise an upper age limit. That way you would know if you were wasting your time and theirs or not.

Either way, if you hear of anything for sure, I'd be most grateful for any more info.

Thanks again.
