I just have to laugh at this one, sorry buddy

The fact is that on assesment day they tell u one story, while u r doing your medicals and pack your stuff the story is still positive.
When u arrive to Abu Dhabi u realize that u've been lied to. They give u completely different contract and u have no choice: leave or sign. Also, like I said in one of my previous posts the only true thing from the assesment day is that EY opens 1-2 new destinations per month.

Example:
My friend got the job with EY. On the interview she was told her basic salary would be 3020 AED. Later on, she got the contract which stated the same amount. Than she came to Abu Dhabi, and few weeks later she was given another contract to sign. This time the basic salary was 2500 AED!!! People were shocked.

So, which contract we are talking about?

I have to support EYtruth as YES we were all told one thing during recruitment and another once we arrived. It is the same when contracts are renewed, your original contract is changed completely with so many things reduced or deleted. So, Yes we did read our contracts which seems to be as good as Lav paper (in the bin not the toilet bowl).
It is easy to say then, GO if you don’t like it and a lot of people are told that, after you have made the move, left your previous job, eta, eta,
Yes, people do go no matter what they have lost as they can’t take it anymore.

With no disrespect to anyone but if you are from a third world country/ Eastern Europe, EY will be soon recruiting there again as with the new salary of 2500 Dhs no westerners or experienced people are going to come unless 2500 is better then what they can make at home.

We are waiting for the new Management changes which are “coming” our way and we are waiting for the new managers who will “change” everything for the better but we have not seen anyone yet.
The French guy ( not sure if he is here or gone) has not made any positive changes yet. All he has done is terminate people. Granted, some maybe deserved it as their sick records were crazy and they did not even have doctor’s certificates to prove they were sick but he seems to fail to understand that with no allowances we can’t do long layovers.

Head of HR is in his own little world just thinking of ways to reduce spending at our expense. We don’t even know who our real boss is…..

Again, let’s hope the future brings something good and our time here has not been a total waste

Just to add one thing more,

they gave us some Stuff Travel questionare that we were supposed to fill, and say our opinion about it

Why they don't give us a questionare about crew life conditions and what do we think about actions in EY?

Are they afraid of something or it's something else?

Come on, Mr. French Guy, give us a poll !!!

Yes, it is unbelievable!
Why would they ask about us… you think they don’t know the truth? They do. They just can’t handle the truth.
Where are all the changes we are waiting for? Where is Mr. French Guy??? Always nowhere to be found. They bring this "TOP" Managers to live the “glamour” live in the Gulf and then terminate them as they did not achieve anything.
Nobody is asking us or wants to know what changes and improvements we need to see or wants to know what type of people we need in management to work with us, not against us.

I think this is not a good idea.
running away with the money that does not belong to us can not be the answer.
how can u base ur life on these kind of money.
banks are not responsible for our cotract and our choice(EY).
Abusing any party"s trust is shamefull.specially a party that has not been involved in our problem.what you think guys?maybe im wrong.just my idea.

You had a week to cool off milehiguy - and now you are back, apparently to boast about it! You may find your own inability to think before posting a source of amusement - Mods find it infantile and tedious, as do other users.

Take some good advice, and don't ride your luck too often.

I have never wanted to upset anyone!!

I just posted a thread of what is going on in Etihad Airways! And it is all true! I would never be able to take a loan and just run!! But this is what is happening here!! WHO Wants to come and work for EY? Who is that CRAZY? The crew here are running away day by day!! They take a large loan from the bank and run back home! But I do understand why! If you don't pay the crew well for the job they do ........ Well they wont be doing job they are supose to do! Show us more money EY!! Happy crew happy guests!!

NO one wants to work here anymore!!

I just wanna ask something aaaxe! What airline do you work for? I think all the crew at Ey are so sick and tired of all the crap here that NO ONE wants to fly at all anymore!! (FOR ANY AIRLINE IN THE ME) Why do you sound so possitive all the time? You are like a ray of sunshine between all the DARK EY clouds!!! I will be going back to my home country before the end of this year to go and fly for my previous airline!!! I cant wait to work for an organized company again!!

Well, some of us stuck here until we find another job. Others r here and r suffering because they earn much more in EY as they would in their countries (no intention to insult anybody, but this is true)

Morale among crew in EY is so low. When u talk to the crew u hear the same story: “when I joined EY I was so happy and optimistic …… now I don’t give a !!!!….” And this approach reflects on every part of our job, especially safety!!!

Sometimes I have an impression that Sheikh doesn’t know what’s going on in his company, as all those managers might be giving him wrong reports.

For God’s sake, we r not asking for villas, millions of dollars or who knows what! Just treat us normally and motivate us! Strikes r not legal in UAE, so we have to find other ways of fight for our rights…. media, internet …

We have to warn others not to make the same mistake as we did.

I come from a country where the salaries are not that great and work can be difficult to find. I left my country selling everything before I left. Now I am just itching to get back because of one reason. I get respect from everyone around me. Here at EY I feel like a labourer. You mention you're cabin crew for EY and people look down on you. Everyone hates the crew in abu dhabi. And suprise surprise.....the management hates us as well. It's just a vicious circle of people. The crew now don't care about the "GUESTS" and seriously....I want to see what happens when EY has an accident. God forbid. But the crew will be the 1st ones to be running away from the aircraft.
Good luck to all us poor souls at etihad airways.......See how we shine

Being in the UAE for less than two years I have seen the best and worst of this country. As a multi cultural country we ought to be open minded and try to respect the opinion of others, even though we might not agree but there are two sides to a story and the gist of it is most people feel as if they are disrespected in their current career while most companies expect more from their workers even though conditions are not up to standard. I can understand the plight of those who are unhappy as what they sell is not what you get, and yes we can be flexible but there is a thin line.

Not In This Place!!!

You haven't worked for this place!! You can't and don't want to be flexable here at EY! It works both ways.......They don't pay and we don't work....They pay little we work little......They pay more and we will work harder!! We aren't going to break our backs being flexable for Etihad!! They don't even give a !!!!! about us.......So we don't give a

One can take look on the inside and see how bad things are.
On the outside all appears so smooth…
Quote from our website “…..you’ll receive the same warm service and attention to detail that we’ve already become famous for in the sky.” Unquote.
But the way we are looked at by management is not warm nor are we given the attention.
We don’t even have proper Managers. Having the proper management team would be a good start and those people can look at how to empower us.
