"eat it or don't" thats the choice.

Lets hope you don't fly Easyjet; "I'd like a windowseat in non-smoking please, oh and is my special meal on board?"

last note...

....................

I guess a nice apology from the cc is all thats needed,

Havent really seen that "apologose if meal choice not available" on any onboard menu...
guess this is only seen on certain airlines, certain airlines dont have this and are not apologetic about it, if the cc dont say this in a kind manner, doesnot help at all... guess thats what would get me annoyed...

meals meals meals

well i must say most people are pretty good about not getting their choices. however sometimes i have seen the attitude of fellow workers saying "is that or nothing". I mean really this kinda attitude does suck a bit.

on the weekend i had a passenger who was vegetarian and forgot to place her order in. she was genuinely nice and i felt sorry for her, so i ran up the front and got her a nice salad from J class. Took me only 5 minutes to organise, and she was very appreciative.

I think if you explain to customers, apologise, try and get them something else or offer a free G&T it really does go a long way. Some crew are just so over things they couldnt b bothered, and if u did bother and make an effort u would find most people r pretty greatful.

I know it can be hard if u have 20 pax who are totally pissed, but guys sometimes its the little things that go a long way.

i once had a lady fuming at me over not getting her choice. She started with this song and dance about how she booked the tickets 1 year ago etc etc. I politely told her she was arguing with me over a crappy little meal, and that some people in this world go for days without a meal. (cheeky yes i know, but it had to be said). Her hubby was quiet embarassed, and told her just to take the meal. Anyways to cut a long story short, i found something even better for her. Took it down to her, not even a thank you from her. although its great to help people out and find something else to eat, people such as her dont deserve it! so unappreciative!!!

Your choice of meal sir.........

".......... Please calm down sir, I said that we are out of Chicken.......NOT FUEL!!!!!!!........."

I think we need to put some perspective on all this - your ticket is for your travel - not the fine dining experience.........otherwise there would be less seats to squash people into and there would be tables at which you would sit ............

You should perhaps think of changing your name to 'fryingpan' with this food obsession. Anyway, as dogs-ears-up said in an earlier post, the best way forward is legal action. Follow his advice and if i may recommend the following lawyers;

SUE, GRABBIT & RUN

You'll find them all over the States as they're very good at their job. Americans seem to love them for some strange reason?

By the way, if you are successful, (which would be quite possible given previous daft legal claims in the US), don't be too surprised if this appalling Airline refuses to carry you EVER again, that's if they're still in business after your multi million dollar lawsuit. And if you are accepted on another carrier, don't expect a choice. All Airlines will offer a take it or leave it 1 meal policy......................
..to avoid future litigation themselves!

Learning to be a pilot....................give me a break!

Cabin Crew "Sir, would you care for the chicken?"

Neetpan " What, I hate chicken, it's foul ( fowl!)

Cabin Crew " Would you prefer the beef instead?"

Neetpan " I don't want mad cow disease woman!"

Cabin Crew " Can I offer you the fish from FIRST perhaps?"

Neetpan " Oh my cod no. I might choke on some bone!"

Cabin Crew " Apart from cheese, there's nothing else to offer"

Neetpan " Not good enough. I demand to see the Captain!"

Cabin Crew " Sir.........uh............you ARE the Captain!

Blueloo,

I find that very hard to believe that they ran out of your meal choice and you were only the second passenger served. We aren't that depraved and cold hearted at QF that we take the passengers meals before they've been served. We're lucky enough as part of our agreement to be supplied with business class meals as our crew meals and generally a lot of the time they are the same as the pax meals anyway, so there would be no need for crew to take your meal in the first place.

I agree though, a lot of crew, not just at QF need an attitude adjustment. Sometimes on the cart i cringe at what some F/A's say to pax. At the end of the day there is no need to be rude (crew or pax), infact you'd be causing yourself more hassles. All you need to do is to think how lucky you are to have the job you've got and how many people would jump in your shoes in a split second.

Well out of 25 J class seats, as hard as tried to find more pax, there were only 3 of us, all in the front row. - and given the fact that I had a menu with three choices on it, and I was told your choice has run out, I can't see any other explanation. I did watch the pax next to me eat the prawns though.....

Quote;
" BYMONEK...i aint dead..."

That's a shame!

p.s I hope you pay more attention with your flying lessons than you do with your grammar, spelling and punctuation. I know you're American but havn't you ANY standards?

p.p.s Have you any German ancestry? They too don't understand 'hunor'.
