Thank you!!!
Gosh, thank you so much for such wonderful and supportive replies to my post! Truly reflective of the essence of a FA.
You're absolutely right, SuperSonic, to keep in mind the bigger picture and to not be over critical of ourselves (SO good at that!). And yes, HOW we respond is a perfect way of thinking about it.
Melgirl, MN64, Dinc d Princ, Kevin Smiley - haha! So glad to realise I'm not alone.
KevinSmiley, I felt the same after the day. I managed to grab someone who'd been there, though, and we had a lovely lunch and chat.
Good luck to you all and thanks once again for such amazing and generous encouragement.

I remember I even made a funny face on the video because I thought I had pressed the stop key but in fact I didn't. I can still recall the feeling of heart sinking,Haha.....

Thanks so much for all the info kevinsmiley. For those worried about video interviews, I too felt mine was terrible however I am now on "active hold" after completing my ASIC. I believe they score everyone on different things such as application, video, online test, assessment day etc and then add up the points which I was happy about as I really felt my video let me down. Good luck to all of us here and hopefully we will all have some good news soon.

Hi Mn64, I have quite a few friends that are cabin crew with Qantas so that's what some of them told me. They take lots of areas into account and use a points system I believe. I see your on "active hold" like me. I pray we get some news soon. I would love to get the heads up and be given a ground school date soon.

I don't know about ground schools coming up except that I believe there is one in Mel starting 28th Sept (read that on pprune). My friends and my boyfriend (who is A330 Melb based Captain) seem to think we are almost at the finish line. My sister who works for HR with another airline also believes we are pretty much in (medical obv still needs to be done) although I don't want to get my hopes up too much just in case things don't happen this way. It does cost Qantas money to put people through ASIC process so I don't think they would do this with applicants they are not planning to put through. Fingers crossed for all of us .

Sarah77 in fact I didn't, neither did I receive the formal email indicating the ASIC Clarence been done. Therefore, I just rang them to make sure I'm safe to go ahead with the medical and the answer is positive. The lady who spoke to me literally had my file in front of her What a process, feels like in an intense movie scene haha...

Hi Moonie - could you please provide an approx fortnightly wage? Take home, after tax. Base wage is low - just wondering how much allowances will be on top. Thanks!

Unbelievable, there are 4 nominated doctors in Melbourne who can exercise the pre-employment medical check, but 3 of them are on holiday till early October Therefore I can only count on the only 1 doctor left to squeeze me into the earliest appointment which is on a week after, hahaha... You never know
Mn64, maybe some of them already got in the GS
