HI All,

I finished all the formalities, ASIC - Medical, unfortunately they stopped the GS at that time and put on me active hold.
I have been on active hold for extended period of time. It;s 2years now.
I moved on and carry on rather than waiting.
Last week, I just received an email, saying I need to all over again ASIC,medical and Body care ( I didn;t do this before)
They offering me full time permanent with SYD base , tho I prefer MEL base.
I did ask if there is MEL base, but apparently it's almost full and the GS is starting next month.

How is the situation now in QCCA? is it worth of going?
If anyone could share some infos, private message me or here greatly appreciate it.
in terms roster, pay?etc

you can never be sure when this opportunity will arise again so if I were you I would accept whatever base is available. It is possible that you can transfer back to Melbourne, probably before Christmas 2019, although nothing is ever guaranteed.

It is a fantastic career and QCCA is certainly the future of flight attendants with QF. Your pay will be roughly $1450/$1500 per fortnight after tax. Port allowances are extra. You will be flying to Asia (China, HKG, Bangkok typically) and Africa mainly. Down the track if you can get on the A380 you will have USA flying.

yes, although your base salary goes up slightly (very slightly) when you start flying.

Hi Lachlan.Turner,

Thank you for your post.
i heard once at least QF Long haul getting $2000/fortnight + layover allowance.
I'm doing ASIC stage again now.

I’m not sure who is advising you of this but for QCCA $2000/fortnight + allowances is definitely not accurate. Your fortnightly pay will be $1400 approx. (after tax)

I second that about the wages, about $1400 after tax, don’t bank on huge allowances as you’ll probably be doing back to back Johannesburg and Bangkok (low allowance)

yes. You will definitely be taking a pay cut to go from Jetstar to Mainline international.

Hi guys! im new here,
I have just applied for Qantas International Cabin Crew 2019 Brisbane Base ( exp 30Mar2019)
so far I passed the first stage where you put in your application

I received an email for the second stage where you complete a massive questionnaire. (had to be done by midnight 25Mar2019)
Once I completed the questionnaire I didn't receive a confirmation or anything from Qantas just a "Thank you" so if you are in the same boat as I am don't worry your not alone lol
but if im the only one then dang lol!

Anyways i will try and update my journey as I go, im no way experienced or anything in this field, just an ex banker who used to work with one of the big 4 who speaks 3 languages wanting to answer the call of a job I've years dreamt of doing ......anyways any questions are most welcome

all the best for everyone who is applying!

Same here but for Sydney base. I am mature guy with only airline experience ranging from customer service to marketing. Also fluent in 2 other languages. Never worked in another field. I also did not get a “completed” or a “thank you” after submitting the questions. I have applied twice before and this seems to be a new format. I was expecting a video interview, never done one, perhaps its the next stage? Interestingly a friend of mine who works for QF did not receive this invitation. Perhaps its externals first or perhaps he did not get to this stage.
Keep me posted how you go. Fingers crossed. This is also something I would like to do. I know the pay is very low but thankfully I am in a position to take a paycut and do something that I actually would get work satisfaction from and not be an office 9-5 job.

Hi all,
started mainline now 380 and with the long range I do earn between 1740-1900 a fortnight on qcca. It does take a little bit of time to transfer over though.
while it is a paycut from Jq you’re working half the time and aren’t constantly fatigued.
good luck.

Those GS dates must be for active hold people. The current intake does not close until 31/3..
Anyone hear back from QF since submitting the questionnaire?
