On the careers section of the website I read the following, " Working within an aircraft is unique, so you'll also need to meet the following criteria: current Senior First Aid Certificate with a validity of 12 months at time of application" but then on the actual application page I read, " You'll have: A valid Senior First Aid Certificate and Responsible Service of Alcohol “Statement of Attainment” or be in the process of obtaining one. You need to have by the end of the recruitment process. These two statements seem to contradict each other.

Does anyone know if you need a current first aid certificate before you apply?

I dont think they will expect you to have it all before appllying. I think you will just need to complete all relevant certficates before GS if you get in. Thats my understanding. My internal QF friend did not get to the questionnaire stage, yet anyway.

Former domestic cc here, left due to acute sinus last year ( all sorted now -endoscopy) anyways received an email late yesterday. After completing the questionnaire looks like I’m not what Qantas are looking for. Not saying I’m super awesome however I already have all the docs and experience and won many customer service awards ?!? Surprised I didn’t even get to AD. Oh well

Good luck to everyone waiting - hopefully we start to hear something in the coming weeks x would love to know how we all go and what stages we are up to

What kind of questions did they ask in the questionnaire? Is there anything you can think of that let you down?

Nothing really, hence my surprise at not making it through to the next round. I wonder as it’s read by PredictiveHire software I didn’t use the right buzz words... the only other thing is , I’m 45 however I would be highly surprised if Qantas was age discriminative!

Well I am 53 so of course a bit worried about my age. But I guess as I have not heard anything I just wait and see. What would be the next stage if we proceed? Just strange as no video interview at the first stage.

Hey to everyone applying for the BNE international.
I’ve completed my questionnaire and just awaiting an email if I’ve made the next stage.
Is anyone else nervous about hearing back?
Good luck to everyone who applied. 😊

Has anyone been given a ground school date yet for Sydney or Melbourne in April or May?

And I don't mean the ones who are just applying now after the recent advertisement.

This is for those on waiting for ground schools if anyone can answer please.

Hi Kandan.. applied for SYD. I think there are only 3 of us here who have applied. Yes waiting. No news is good news as someone here had done the questionnaire and already got a reply back saying not proceeding with their application. Maybe we should start hearing soon as the applications closed yesterday. Just wonder what next stage is. Still strange that no video interview at first stage!!??!!

Hi All!

I have applied for BNE - with absolutely no experience whatsoever in air travel - (apart from LOVING IT!) .. I'm actually a Primary School teacher - who has had enough of the school drama!

If I were to get an invitation to an Assessment Day (not holding my breath... but you never know!) does anyone know how they measure your height? I am 163cm... so JUST tall enough... but I would HATE to go along, and slouch or something and be dismissed in front of everyone for being 162.9 cm or something crazy - before I can show them how I'm more than just a short person!!

And if it's a reach test - I'd like to make sure I can reach - before I go along... (If I even get an invite...)

Sorry to probably ask the same question that many have probably asked in the past...

Crossing my fingers for everyone!!

Hey filthy rich.
My friend who was based in Sydney and then offered a contract for 2 years out of Heathrow, said that they can take a while to get back to us. She also said they might offer a transfer and that I should take whatever is on offer. Don’t quote me but it should be an invitation for an assessment day . Best of luck hopefully we cross paths😊

I think if we havent heard its a good sign. A QF friend of mine told me that they are advertising internally for 747/330 crew. Saying that also a friend of mine who started with QF less than 6 months ago told me a friend of his is starting GS on Monday 8/4 SYD base, he doesnt know for what fleet yet.
163cm is min height I am 183cm exactly!!!! So hope we are ok. It is a reach test for sure. QF loves teachers, nurses etc..Yes fingers crossed for all of us.. If we make it to an AD thats pretty good already. But I really want to get the job..
