waiting for the GC...
Hi, I took the final interview last month and I'm still waiting for the GC...it's been more than 2 weeks since the day and I'm so anxious about it.
Some others who took the interview on the same day have already got the GC.
My status is now "You will be contacted by your Recruitment coordinator at the earliest", and I do hope this is a good sign.

Hi everyone!
I was researching for more information about the cabin crew recruitment process for Emirates and I'm so lucky to have found this forum!
I have applied for the AD in Kuala Lumpur on August 3 last Thursday (14/07), is it too late?
How long do they usually take to send you an invitation to attend? I'm getting anxious but also excited because I live in Sydney and would need to get an air ticket to KL!
Also I was wondering now that I have an AD application in process, can I also register for an OD in another location (just in case I do not get the invitation to KL for the AD...)
Thanks for your advice in advance!

edmonton open house
I normally just look at postings but never comment... but i was taken back at simrons comments about july 8th 2011 open house in edmonton. I think you were at a different open house because i was at edmonton. Of the ten successful chosen for final interviews, NO ONE a) had a bra/cleveage showing b) short skirt c) jean jacket. ONE girl wore a sleaveless dress yes but it was very professional and almost a pink/grey tweed material which went to her knees, very conservative. It was not a summer dress at all. every girl looked polished (the two guys too) Everything was the polar opposite of what you stated. Also of those those chosen everyone was very poised and all had hair tied back (with two girls having hair down but neat). I also have loads of customer service experience and direct flight attendant specific education. as did some of the other successfuls i spoke too.

Hey joanaw!
I was just reading your post. Have you been invited to the assessment day? If you are from Sydney, I would recommend that you attend an open day, as you do not require an invitation to attend an open day. It will save you a rather expensive airfare! You can apply for an open day online, however it is not essential. You can hand in your resume on the day without applying...this is what I did! Emirates will be in Melbourne in September, and Perth and Brisbane in August.
Best of luck, if you need any help...i'm happy to help out!

Question
Hello everybody.
I was wandering, would it be a good idea to send them an e-mail asking what happened with my file. It seams that they lost my file. No news at all, and it has been 7 weeks since my FI. My status says under review and it has been like that since the beginning. Maybe I should just wait, but I have been waiting enough. I dont want to sound inpatient, but I am.
Please help. Has anybody had any similar experience?
Thanks

On your FI they give you a letter congratulating you on making it to the FI and in the same letter it also states that if you do not hear a news in 6 weeks you can contact them via the information provided. So i think you should be okay if you email them just to acquire about the status of your application.
All the best!

Thanks travelbug2011!
I have not heard from them yet for the assessment in KL, you're right..it will be an expensive ticket (esp if I don't book now!), but I have family there so I'll be paying them a visit too.. But I'll most likely head to the Brisbane open day! If I attend the Open day, is it better to plan a 3 day trip or something? They will shortlist people for an interview after the open day right?
How did yours go??!
