Interview
Hi imadasad!
All you need is stated in this thread but I will try to describe you the interview:
Open Day
Everybody can just go in with the CV and 2 pictures. There is a height test (you must be able to reach 212 cm without shoes). They show you the video after which you can ask the question about the company and anything you would like to know. They may ask you simple questions like "What´s your current job?" "Why do you want to join EK?" etc.
1ST DAY
1st round - group discussion on 2 topics then elimination
2nd round - English test then elimination
3rd round - more group discussion on a few topics then
elimination again
4rd round - Personality test (16PF)
2ND DAY
2-on-1 interview for about 30 mins
The questions in the group discussions change all the time. They give you a topic to dicuss with your group. Teamwork is important.THERE ARE NO RIGHT ANSWERS!!!
There is an essay included in the written test. The topics also change all the time.Usually you can choose from 3 subjects, f.e. Write a letter to a friend that you want to invite to your country; Write a description about a vacation or country you have visited . The most challenging thing you have done in your life. write about your biggest regrets, etc.
Then you have a reading comprehension test, you must answer the questions from the text, there is also a multiple choice part. And I´ve also read that you have some signs and you must write what they mean.
I hope it helps. If you have any questions, just ask. When and where do you have your OD? I keep my fingers crossed for you.

missed a golden call, maybe
Hi everyone. I am new in this forum. My name's Salvatore and I am from Italy (Naples); I was at the open day in Milan, on April, 5th. I did passed through all the stages, till the Final Interview. Yesterday, I missed two calls on my mobile (but it appeared to be "private number"): I think it was Emirates, because when I came back home, an EAU number had called me at home, but my mother does not speak english...so...
Now, if I try to call the telephone number appeared on my home telephone, there is only a recorded voice. What is the number of the cabin crew recruitment department? does anybody know? or can you suggest what I can do? Maybe only wait?
thank you to everybody

I waited 4 weeks.... and received a REGRET LETTER yesterday. So disappointing! It only proves that that "no news" is not always good news. Oh my God I am sooo depressed! Hope you guys get the golden call soon...

Same thing happened to me- I missed my calls so many times haha, but it all worked out in the end, if it's meant to be..huh
I'm going to try to push back my DOJ a bit further again (if it works), till mid-June, might see you in Dubai!
Good luck with medicals, don't be discouraged!

Medical Nightmare
I am struggling to get a doctor to do the medical, I am from Australia and living just outside Manchester in the UK. I have been in a mad search for 2 days trying to find a doctor or clinic that will help me with this medical. I am not registered anywhere (I know big mistake).... but even if i was they wouldn't do it because all of my medical history is in Australia. I have been trying to get my history sent over from there, but that is a dead end... I am freaking out because the only place I have found that will do some of the tests (not even sign some of the forms) wants to charge me a lazy £600.... My start date is the 30 May and I can't wait, but don't know what to do? Has anyone been in the same situation or anyone have any ideas that will get the medical done with out me selling my organs to pay for it?

Hey! it's a big stress these medicals!!
when i had mine done i went to a private GP, who cost a fortune, and the overall cost was nearly £500 with them, I ended up splitting it all up and using my GP for most of it, and still had to go private for the rest that my doctor couldn't do, still cost me in excess of £400 so whichever way you go it will still cost you a fortune, all you can do is get a few quotes and pick the best of the bunch...
with regards to your medical history could you not email the forms to your family doctor in Oz, get him to scan them and send them to you then airmail the originals?? only suggestion i can think of!
good luck!! hope you get it all sorted!

good news!!
I got a call from EK this week at 4am!!
It's great but I never thought I could be so hard to do all those medicals!!!! I'm still working so it's even worse!! It's driving me crazy! I'm joining in May so that's quite soon... my FI was in April!!
This was my second FI , so all I can say to all those wanting to be part of Emirates is.. be patient and if you really want this, then go for it, over and over again!!
Cheers!! and Good luck!!

Do you know if you get pregnant and you are not married you and your partner woudl go to jail if the authorities will find the story out? Do you know that your first boyfriend there wiull be lebanese?
Info on these and other questions will be posted soon.

Somebody who has been there -done that, is always appreciated..however- whatever the pros and cons are, everybody is different and therefore the roads we take are equally different. It's like with any job, company etc...I'm just wondering..what do you mean by 'do you know your first boyfriend will be Lebanese?'.
Btw, ur post on a different forum here was excellent, it's never either\or and I think you managed to portray that

If what you say about pregnancy is true and I don't believe so, you just have to go to your embassy and ask for help... Nobody could go in jail for that reason, lots of us are EU citizens... You look like a troll who just wants to scary the wannabees.
And why my first boyfriend in UAE should be a Libanese guy? (Nothing against Libanon, I'm only curios...)
