golden call depending on..

hi guys!

don't you think that, maybe sometimes getting an early golden call depends on how early you submitted all your workpapers (the day of your FI or if you sent them later.. photos, certificates..)... I'm not sure , but I was just wondering..

waiting for a call from dubai...

good luck to all of you!

Thanx Ena85!

How many of those attending the FI in your country you think have already gotten a call from EK? have you heard from them? I'm really curious about how many people they can hire WHEN THEY HAVE 20 PPL FOR A FINAL INTERVIEW...

cheers and good luck!

hey, i think it is true.
i was waiting for three weeks and then got an email that i still have outstanding documents, my passport, education certificate, and current job letter.
i had already submitted those before but i just sent them to them by email again. a week later i got the golden call.. so i guess if the documents didn't go missing, i could have got the call earlier..

possibly your iq test result in psychometric test was inbalanced so they would like to give you a trial on full iq test.

can anyone help ??
does anyone know the time limit when you can re-apply after an assessment day, is it 6 months after you actually apply on line or is it 6 months after the actual assessment day ???

Post izzy1

Hey izzy1, about the reapplying process: If you have attended an Open Day and was not successful, you can only reapply or attend another Open Day after 6 months. If you went through to the final interview and did not make it through, then you can only reapply after 1 year. Emirates are very strict with their rules, even though sometimes they may sent you an email inviting you to an OD but if the time is not up and you reapply, they may not even look at your profile I know it is strange but they seems to do it all the time, inviting people to attend an OD even though applicants are not yet allow to attend. So it is best to wait for the full course before reapplying But if you have waited let say about 5 months or close to the full course and they invited you to an assessment day, you should then contact the cabin crew joiner to confirm whether it is okay for you to go. In most cases they would let you

Hope it helps. All the best~

Waiting

Hi PPL,
I called Emirates just 3 days ago because I haven't received the final approval yet far...after trying 8 calls finally someone in HR picked up the phone and sounds like that lady who called me advising me of the DOJ. She told me my medical is approved! but they are waiting for government approval...i am not sure what is this? My DOJ was originally April 18th, but i told her that i need to serve 1 month of notice period so she will move my DOJ to May 16th or 23rd...also told me to wait this week they will send everything to me...

I am a little sad that can't travel to Dubai on April 18...my other 2 collegues they will travel on that date, but except me....

Hopefully they get back to me this weekend so I can resign on Monday, I need that email so urgently!!!

Another question

I tried to send the medicals all in one email but it was impossible because of the limited capacity of emirates email so I tried to send everything separately but 2 of the 6 emails came back with the same error, limited capacity of ek mailbox... Do you know if it's mandatory to send PDF files?? They are so heavy and I couldn't find a way to compress them... The only way is to do scan again the rejected files and split them in different pdf files or the simpliest thing would be create .doc files which are lighter and easier to modify!

I don't now what to do

hey guys

On the application for it asks why would you like to work for Emirates, yes their the best... But it gives a space for 3,000 words... For those of you who were invited to Assessments, did you waffle on and on and on, or like I see it, sharp and straight to the point... Thanks

izzy and maya

Hi Izzy,
yes it was my first try with Emirates and I got the job! Good lucks!

Maya,
you need to try with a different program or go to a internet coffee and see if they can help you on minimize the file size, in my case my office we have a special HP photo copy/scanner machine and it helped me minimize the medical forms and reports. I only got 3 MB with the whole pile!

Stay cool, everything will work out for you.

Post Way to compose photos/files

Hey MayaEnVuelo, I know there's a way to compose files. However I use Macbook so I don't know whether it will work on PC or not but you can give it a go anyway.

In your computer there must be an organizer which collects all your imported photos right? Check the function menu of that program and see whether you have a system that can sent photos straight via Outlook or something similar on PC.
Don't have to sent to anyone, all you have to do is attach the photos and then after it is done you simply drag the attached files in the email to your desktop, then if you open it, it should be composed already. In most case, via those PC outlook emailing program they should automatically compose down your file. Well... in my case it worked

In the cases of using Mac Computer, just import your jpg file (best to use jpg file in Mac) to the iphoto, click onto the photo that you want to sent. Then you should be able to see an email icon on the bottom right corner. Click onto that, it will automatically brings you to another window, then you'll see the composed file in there. Simply just drag the file to you desktop then you can sent it via your hotmail or whatever account that you use. You can attach multiple files of course to minimize your time. I'm sure after when they are all composed, you will be able to sent all the medical forms in one email. It worked for me so I hope it'll work for you too!

However if you have a file composing soft ware already you don't have to go through the process in above. Wouldn't it be much easier

I hope it is not too complicated to understand ... and that it could help you all out there who's having the same trouble. All the best

P.S. Leemarlon is right, if you don't have the program try internet cafe or even your friends to see whether they can help.

Leemarlon-- once you get your Final Approval, you can have them move your joining date from there to serve your one month notice with your co.

Just got here in dubai yesterday. Induction will start tomorrow.
