global assessment days and OD ??

hi to everyone, I got a really cruicial question;

I was eliminated in march 2008 OD, but I will be in UAE for a vacation just at the time of Global Assessment days in Dubai. According to emirates careers website u just leave CV on GAD.. Do somebody know what exactly do they do on GADs different from ODs?? Can we apply there without fulfilling 6 month period?? Has anybody got any experience about it? any kinda advice will be appreciated guys...thanks alot!

You can reapply after 6 months if you failed on the first stage, 1 year if failed from final interview. Global assessment day is invitaion only! In other words, you only need to apply online and wait for the invitation letter sent by email. But remember, they can reject you again if you go and apply for less than 6 months because this is the HR policy. Good luck, more chances are coming up!

awaiting final confirmation - leemarlon

Hey Leemarlon,

I am in the same boat as you. I sent my medicals on the 5th of May and still haven't heard anything yet. For a friend of mine, it took a bit over three weeks to finally hear something. She received like four emails all at once. So just keep checking that inbox! =)

And they are really raelllyyyy good with changing your DOJ. Eventhough the contract we signed says that we can't change our date,.. they will be very accomadating.

Who is your HR rep? joanne? I keep calling her but it won't even ring. Its so weird. And sometimes it will go straight to voicemail but all full to leave a message.

HOPE THE WAITING EnDS SOON!!!! =)

People....I was at the Open day 2day. I came there at 0830, came out at about 2030. I definitely didn't expect that, but hey. With 2-3 15min brakes. As there were only 32 of us, we had an Open day and screening process all today, and I made it to the final 8 I believe( or 10). Tomorrow, I'm having my final interview done, just hope it'll pass as well as this did

Fingers crossed for me

Post semiliner

Hey semiliner, congrats in making through to the final . Now all you have to do is to impress the officers in the final interview. Study your CV, know your previous job experiences well because they will definitely ask you about them. And most importantly you must be honest and smile~!! Oh also be there early to have sometime to prepare yourself because you don't want to be too nervous while you are in the interview~!! I'm sure you will do well, all the best

Post KellyM

Hey KellyM, you can actually attend any Open Day without an invitation. I think the reason which they sent you an invitation is because they take interest to your profile and like to get to know you more through the OD If you really can't attend the up coming OD in Brisbane, there is always the next one that you can attend Hope it helps
P.S. Hope you'll have a good time at your friends wedding

@ habibinamerica

Thanks The recruiters were Sonja and Svetlana, they were really nice and professional. (and I'm not writing this because one of them knows about this forum heh). I don't believe that there is a formula of success there...you just have to be yourself and hopefully that will get u through. And for being nervous....I would be surprised if u weren't hehe.

Previous working experience before joining in Emirates?

Hi everyone! I’m new here and, lately, I’m getting interested in Emirates airline; I would like to work as cabin crew for this company but I’m not sure to be fine with their standards. I’m 22 and have a diploma, the computer license, and two language certificates in English (B2 – First Cambridge) and Spanish (B1 – The first level) but I don’t have any working experience. What do you think? Should I try on the same or wait to have some experience in the customer service?
Heartfelt thanks to anyone will reply!
