I wish to thank Mike Jenvey for answering my questions regarding recent NJE fleet allocation among newhires. Simple question, simple answer.

59 pages and 1100 posts. I will have a look through, but my question is this.
I am currently Hawker 800XP rated and am looking at possibly moving to Netjets. Will they keep me on my current type or will it be the usual lottery and therefore new type course? And, assuming they will keep you on type, how does that affect bonding.

Thanks for any help

Hey LongJohn, you will be looked at from the scratch, regardless on which type you are rated. But even if you stay at the Hawker 800 there will be a new type-rating to ensure standardisation amongst the crew.

And this is your answer for the bonding scheme.

Hope this helps.

gateways

Hi

Does anyone know if Stavanger, Norway can be used as a gateway?. there are almost as many flights from SVG to european destinations as there are from OSl. I have sent an e-mail to Netjets regarding this matter, but havnt received a reply for several weeks, something I find rather strange since netjets must be spending a small fortune on ads in Flight international trying to recruit pilots. I would like to apply, but dont want to waste Netjets and my time if I would have to relocate. I thought they would have been interested in answering a simple question by now if it resulted in an application being submitted from a qualified applicant.

Have a great day.

Mike,

Could Faro be considered a Gateway airport, or does it not quite reach the requirements ?

I made a quick count of flights from Stavanger. There are roughly give or take a few about 60-70 flights a day to international destinations with plenty of connections on from Amsterdam, london, frankfurt and copenhagen.
If they have approved Aberdeen as a gateway then Stavanger shouldnt be a problem, I hope. I would really like to try out for netjets, but relocating to one of the existing gateways would be difficult (my wife has a great job, and asking her to quit would unleash all kinds of misery, ha ha ). My qualifications are CPL 6500+ hours 4600+ multi crew turbine hours, I will be shortly upgrading to captain in my present job and will hold an ATPL in a few months. I am happy with my current job, but I have to commute and spend long periods of time away from home, and its starting to take its toll. What atracts me to Netjets is the rostering, leave home on first day of duty and come home on last day of duty, sounds nice.Flying the new falcon 7X wouldnt hurt either.

Thanks for your help
Have a great day

IF the company had a transparent seniority system and you joined today that would make you about, oooooooh, 800th in the queue for a 7X.

Makes me laugh

Delivery of the first 7x got delayed quite a bit, so rather expect to be Nr. 1200 if you don't join soon.

But no problemo for Bravo-Slot.

Why Netjets?

Just Applied to NJE - waiting for a response. Appeals to me because of the rostering and variety. Also relatively quick to left hand seat, and seems pretty reasonable package all round. Pro's and con's in every job out there - in the end it must be a personal choice, and this one appeals more than others, but like anything time will tell.
