Hi guys,

Tell me something about the contract...you sign it! for how many years?....in case that the current up trend in bussines aviation (and other bracnhes of aviaton), turns downhill..

Can they cancel your contract, or what....

Are you protected with some legal act, that they cannot sack you, and you still get you salary?

I mean, I am a bit worried how it is going to be in few years for now if...because we all know that the demand for pilots which is now, will end sooner or later.
And not to mention the morgage, etc....

Kind Regards to you all,
A

Keeping it in trim,

Thank you for that response - it confirms my initial impressions through reading these last 30 pages... I meet the minimums but not by much - that's why I was curious about one fleet type vs. the other. Personally, I'd be happy on any of the types. The Lear I fly now does primarily short haul flying around Europe and I enjoy that type of flying.

Next question - what about catering for the pilots? Do pilots tend to get "decent" or ok food on the road? Or do you primarily search for vending machines once you hit the FBO (like my current job)? Is it a per diem thing where you get compensated for what you buy? Do some FBOs/destinations offer better pilot food than others? Any examples of good/bad food that you have had? Certainly you could never expect any food (and not a proper meal) at a low-cost carrier like Easy or Ryanair. How are Netjets pilots fed?

Cheers

netjets food

enough food!

growing and growing....
most guys/girls gain weight so the crewfood is OK I think.

Then again, it might be the beers after a long working day causing these extra kilo's.

when you see there is no crewfood ordered for particular flight, then the captain can request crewmeals directly with the catering department.
my experence is very good with this.

without food you cant fly!

Riker.

Every question you could possibly think of in relation to Netjets Europe has been asked several times over.

In deference to those of us that have to moderate repetitive posts how about using the 'search' function? It's all there, trust me.

Diversion

But wouldn't you have to file a new flight plan? Say you were going to one destination and had filed for an alternate but the pax wanted to go elsewhere, would you be able to change the flight plan inflight? Or would you have to land and re-file?

Don't exaggerate... We are staying most of the times at 4* hotels.
It can happen that we are staying at a Novotel but a Novotel is still better than any 4* UK-hotel

Most of us collect points from airlines/hotels and most frequently used hotels in Europe are Hilton and Marriot I would say…

Smile application to NJE

Hi everyone.

I am going to send an application to NJE. I live in Norway, are there any other Norwegian pilots out there currently employed with the company? got any advice?. I was wondering how the telephone interview is conducted? do you get advance notice and a time for the call?.

Read something here about unclarity as to where your salary is taxable, I thought you had to either pay tax in the country where you work/emloyed from or your country of residence, can anyone enlighten me on this point?, I would be really grateful for any info on this matter.

Does NJE cover loss of licence insurance?, How is the pension sceme?.

Which aircraft could I if hired expect to start on, I have 6000+ hrs of which 4000+ are multi crew airline operations. I am about to advance to comand with my current employer and will shortly hold a JAR ATPL.

Is Oslo the only Norwegian gateway available? do you always travel to another airport on your first day? if so where to usually?.

Please any tips and info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Income taxes?

Does anybody know which country in europe has the lowest incometaxes. Thinking of "moving" to that country. This is to avoid the high income-taxes in my country. Because I have to pay extra taxes to whatever Netjets paying if I stay in my country. And it is alot!

Gateways

Does anybody know if the requirement to live within one hour drive from the gateway is flexible? One hour plane ride with lots of flights? Tried to email them but got no reply. What is the reason anyway, standby?

From personal experience, he must have been trying to email the Falcon Fleet Manager!
You mean "Yaehyeah okayokay yeah yeah bye" followed by a silence of several months?

I once asked said fleet manager how he dealt with all his email. He said "I don't. I only open the ones with interesting titles". Needless to say all my email requests from then on included the words 'sex', 'tits' and 'meaty beaty big and bouncy'

No success whatsoever.

On the one occasion I really needed him he did a Lord Lucan and only resurfaced when I was well out of the company.

As much use as a chocolate teapot, bicycle to a fish, tits on a bull etc etc
