Tweaked - not replaced!

FGNR - Yes the Recruitment system will be ammended next year, but not a new system in toto. It wont 'be tougher to get in' at all, it'll just be more formalised in some areas. Guys who you'd be happy to spend 6 days with and can fly an aeroplane will still have a good chance of a job-offer!

Flintstone - With reference to your 'had to take Nimrod crew' comment, can I assume that you don't think much of the Kipper Fleet? From what I've seen of ex-Ramrod drivers it looks like opening Aberdeen as a gateway was a master-stroke!

Merry Christmas!

I know but for every one of ours applying to you we get five of yours applying to us. That must mean a TAG pilot's worth five NJE pilots.

Way over 50 now. But, back in the books again.

Did my CPL-ATPL study some 25-30 years ago.
Now it looks like I am starting all over again.
Really struggling at 10 different places at the same time in my old and some new books, as I have no idea now of course: where should I begin?
Just discovering how little I remember on some subjects and yet again some more on others. Hope I will know by then (The 'golden phone-call') or be lucky enough that I am asked the things I know
Getting the odd mental 'ups & downs' while reading the endless line of different posts on the forum for hours.
Hope to get a chance to join this nice way of flying.

Wink Hi Learner

Hi Learner

Well done for giving it a crack. I went for the re-validation of my licence too, after many years away from flying. It took a long time and a lot of hard work but it has all worked out well. NetJets is a great Company and they will treat you very well.

Good luck and go for it.

Well, with all the great mentions of "TAG", I would suggest a little look at what happened to them recently in the good old USA!!,

Maybe not so good after all.

Guys,
I fly TP's at the min and quite a few of our pilots have gone to NJE. They are really happy to date.
I am touching 1000hrs, so a tad short currently.
My question, having no Biz Jet experience but adhoc charter time is, which operator seems to value their pilots and reward hard work?

hiya guys,

just wondering is there are any news about the DEC/upgrade policy. I know about the standard one (low hrs - long haul, many hrs - short haul), but as the time goes there might be some changes..

some more Q's:

what is the current time for >4k hrs capt new entry to be -> upgraded, upgraded to LTC

I checked all the threads, but didn't find this (sorry if I skipped any)... do you start every pattern with new mate or do you have some prefferred/most common ones to fly with. or, can you influence anyhow the crew composition?

I would hazard a guess 12 months till captain...as it can take 3 months before you are on line from indoc till completion of line training, then 8 months to see the operation and get a good feel.

Line trainer, depends if the fleet you go to needs them as to how quick that will happen.

Purely random who you are scheduled to go on tour with.

And if you're a naughty boy you'll end up being paired with South Coast.

Question HR-Department Holiday ??

Anyone knows if the NJE guys/girls in the HR Department are still on holiday leave?
Sent in my application mid December and no response whatsoever yet.
A birdie told me they do not acknowledge the incoming applications via e-mail anymore!?! So you just sit there and wait for the phone interview?

Thanxx

Hi,

just to save you from some of the worries I had:

I waited 3 months for my telephone interview. I did not receive any acknowledgment.

Hope it helps.

Best regards,

Schmerzfrei
