Might it be the Hurry-cane?
Got it! You have control again.
Open House unless I can think of something first.
If I may: "Open brandy and rum, run across airport".
Think it might be an airport where you have to check the tide tables as well as the met. Is it Barra?
It is indeed. Happy memories of popping the Trislander in there during my Loganair days. You have control.
Thanks - would love to have been in the RHS!
Old penny lady whispered. (aircraft) |
Toss a coin for it & tails shows Britannia? OH if right.
Spot on!
Incidentally did you know when the new design of 50p came in it was the first time in over 300 years that there was no representation of Britannia on a British coin? Disgraceful! Open house has been declared. |
Come on chaps - someone have a go, particularly if you haven't done one before - doesn't have to be brilliant - it's just a bit of fun.
Another easy one to keep it going. "Railway pork?" (airfield)
Could be Lyneham?
Yep; you have control
As Tankertrashnav suggested:
Come on chaps - someone have a go, particularly if you haven't done one before - doesn't have to be brilliant - it's just a bit of fun. |
No other takers? Try this one:
An ill gorilla might meet up with an Oklahoma tribe to produce this aircraft. |
Well, I can get the "ill" and the "Oklahoma tribe", so I'm going for the Sikorsky Chocktaw. If right, where does the gorilla fit in (I know, at his size, anywhere he likes :))?. Open house if I'm right.
Thinking on the right lines, but some way off the solution yet, sorry.
Another interpretation of "an ill gorilla" will give an anagram of the manufacturer which will lead to the correct tribe.........enjoy....... |
It’s been running long enough I think. Hopefully a couple of clues will help move things along.
I admit to a bit of poetic licence for the manufacturer’s name, for “An ill gorilla” try “1(for I) SICK APE”. The middle name of the General who marched “Through Georgia to the sea” was shared with one of the better known chiefs of the Oklahoma tribe. |
Well, the anagram gives Piasecki, so with the Shawnee tribe now in Oklahoma I'm guessing it's the Piasecki H-21 Shawnee (aka Workhorse)?
If correct will have to be Open House |
Well done Skytrain, Open House it is.
