Lightning Mate 17th February 2012 10:34

February 14th in Hampshire, now just a field.

NutherA2 17th February 2012 11:45

That'll be Valentine's Farm, then?

Lightning Mate 17th February 2012 12:03

It will indeed. :ok:

Your service.

NutherA2 17th February 2012 14:37

Thanks, Mate:

This time a manufacturer and an aircraft type:

James Bond’s boss, a supporter and the Queen produced a prohibited insect in Ireland.

Lightning Mate 17th February 2012 16:06

Presumably they are different.

evansb 17th February 2012 18:13

Embraer Bandeirante ?

NutherA2 17th February 2012 19:12

Correct, Maestro:

Bond’s Boss = EM
Supporter = BRA
Queen = ER

Prohibited = BAND ( best I could do)
Insect in Ireland = EIRANTE

YHC ( as we A2s used to say so clearly, but using more colours when being trapped).)

evansb 17th February 2012 22:15

An aircraft manufacturer and model

A body of water

Stag and a brief association with the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment

NutherA2 18th February 2012 08:56

Lake Buccaneer? If so I haven't yet twigged the reference to the "Woofers".

evansb 18th February 2012 12:32

NutherA2 is correct:ok:. Your turn. Again.

Note: the EER part of Bucaneer was a reference to the Royal Army Infantry "East of England Regiment", (EER), which had strong links to the "Woofers".

Tankertrashnav 18th February 2012 14:37

PPRuNe is nothing if not educational. I've been involved with militaria over the last 35 years and I'd never heard of the East of England Regiment. Now I've googled it I know all there is to know (nearly!).

Mind you I'd never heard of the Lake Buccaneer either!

Lightning Mate 18th February 2012 15:24

Concurred - providing you use the threads frequented by adults and not moronic children.

Come on over to "Silhouette Challenge". :):)

NutherA2 18th February 2012 15:31

At 16:30 on any Saturday the "Whey Pat Tavern" is calling, so just a quickie:

A detailed
Nathaniel Adams Coles could construct this Airfield without assistance.

Lightning Mate 18th February 2012 15:38

Lossiemouth.........?

NutherA2 18th February 2012 17:07

Sorry, LM, not so close to the Arctic Circle, perhaps de-tailed might help.

Tankertrashnav 18th February 2012 21:14

Think I might have been there for 6 years - the one with grass that is.

El Adem?

NutherA2 18th February 2012 22:42

'Fraid not TTN, this one is in England; if you translate Nathaniel Adams Coles and curtail the result, the airfield won't be hard to find (these days it's supposed to be hard to get out of though).

Yellow Sun 19th February 2012 07:45

Lindholme?

YS

NutherA2 19th February 2012 09:23

Not Lindholme, I'm curious regarding the logic of the various suggestions. Perhaps it's time for more indications:

1. Identify
Nathaniel Adams Coles
2. Curtail the result.
3. Put the remainder into the mixer & think APC.

Lightning Mate 19th February 2012 10:03

& think APC

That might not mean much to some people here mate.

North Coates ?
