Lightning Mate 2nd March 2012 08:46

Your thread.

Neptunus Rex 3rd March 2012 03:28

Wakey wakey Duk, I'm four hours ahead of you.

Tankertrashnav 3rd March 2012 09:14

Had a chum who trained there who said the best bit was getting strapped into the JP with WRAF assistance ;)

He got chopped!

Oh yes, it was Syerston.

Neptunus Rex 3rd March 2012 12:41

Bona creme, TTN.

Yes 'twas Syerston, my alma mater. In the early 60s, the only FTS with WRAFs, and the one closest to London. What a year for a teenage jet-jockey!

You have the con, Number One.

I have strapped my wife into a Jaguar on many occasions. She has just over ten hours on type.:)

Great personal transport back then...................:ok:

Mind you , she said she did enjoy the view from the Lancaster.....

Tankertrashnav 3rd March 2012 22:23

Not the Princess, A2

This one never won any beauty contests - but then neither did the Princess, I suppose.

Neptunus Rex 4th March 2012 06:16

Blackburn Beverly

TTN, we are disclosing our vintage.

Tankertrashnav 4th March 2012 08:57

I'm afraid you're right, NR. Familiarity with both the sisters and the aircraft to blame there.

Never saw the Beverly Sisters but flew in the aircraft several times on low-level supply drops - great fun!

Over to you.

Neptunus Rex 4th March 2012 12:49

Thanks TTN,

Neptunus Rex 4th March 2012 14:41
