Mumms... as in Champagne so around Rheims..... La Noblette Aerodrome, located 1.6 miles (2.6 km) Southeast of the commune of Mourmelon-le-Grand ???
|
Yours Asters.
Was also known as La Cheppe - depending on which end of the airfield you were standing. Asters has the stick. |
Phew!! Sweated blood on that one.................. thanks for the clue
Somewhere more modern https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....3d162db3bb.jpg |
Looks Nice.
|
Looks rather odd. Old and new.
Sunny Spain? |
|
The make of rikshaw precludes India...?
|
Here be marmalade.
El Aeropuerto Capitán FAP Pedro Canga Rodríguez (Código IATA: TBP, código OACI: SPME) That was the most intense WA I've done so far. Rikshaw - non Indian. Far East tuk tuk search. Home in on non-charachteristic overhanging rear bicycle tyres - South America - specifically Peru. Small airport building - big jet parking... Much GE zooming. Arrive. |
Applause
I hadn’t even started yet. Strange loop for cars/busses on the apron side. Especially as there appear to be no busses! |
Cheers Bear, looks like a loop for pax busses - it's mainly a holiday airport;
Wiki: The airport is used mainly by locals and national and international travelers because of its proximity to beaches and resorts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FAP_Ca...ADguez_Airport https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....8e25908bb2.jpg |
Aaaagggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh hhhhhhh :ok:
Bloody hell - "the clever men in Oxford know all there is to be knowed..." It is indeed Pedro Canga Rodríguez - right on the border and used by inhabitants on both sides to get to & fro Auxtank has it and I'm off the nearest railway line - but there aren't any trains running....................... https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....e5d82d0ebd.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....a0d0c21b1f.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....48f200d860.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....4055972c42.jpg |
An interesting challenge Asters - it was the rickshaw that gave it away...
I doubt there's a man living with a greater knowledge of the various rickshaws of the World than I, Watson. |
Girly bars as well no doubt.
|
Ahem! yes, well..that's quite enough of that thank you mr dook.
Herewith devilishly difficult challenge... https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....ec08bc5de7.jpg Just doing an "Asters", i.e; just nipping out for a bit. |
"I doubt there's a man living with a greater knowledge of the various rickshaws of the World than I,"
that's the problem on here - too many experts on the most arcane subjects - no knowledge at all that's useful of course but rickshaws or Indian train conductors Uniforms 1850-1875 and we're there..... The picture looks like Bonnie Scotland to me? |
Lerwick (new airfield not the old one)
|
Nope.
We are not in Scotland me wee haggis's, haggessises...haggisae? Sheep sack stuff.. Sorry. |
I'm thinking possibly South-Eastern France, foothills-of-the-Alps sort of area?
