'Royal' '146s rarely fly outside Europe so maybe Ireland?(Republic of)

Asturias56 5th Sep 2019 11:23

I'm not sure what it is but it is definitely NOT a BAe146................

chevvron 5th Sep 2019 11:26

The nose section in the first picture at #16635 definitely is.

Asturias56 5th Sep 2019 11:35

16635 could be a BAe146 - but #16641 is almost certainly not.... the pictures are separated by several decades - but only a few meters...............

One does not bandy a lady's age but Princess Anne looks to be about 18 in the B&W shot.

It has also served as Military Base..........

chevvron 5th Sep 2019 11:41

Baldonnell?

Asturias56 5th Sep 2019 11:41

Along way from the Emerald Isle......... oddly enough I've visited Baldonnell House a few times over the last 30 years .

I think you need to look at the countryside in posts ~ 16635 & 16638 - not Ireland

chevvron 5th Sep 2019 11:52

Has she gone?
Try Canada then.

JENKINS 5th Sep 2019 12:48

From that last - 1976, Montreal Olympics, family visit to Moncton flying to whatever name was in use for the original RCAF Moncton?

sycamore 5th Sep 2019 12:58

Thought it might be Orstralia...?

Asturias56 5th Sep 2019 14:33

Having trouble posting more pictures....... not Canada nor Australia

And these are some of their successors............

dook 5th Sep 2019 15:06

Am I right in thinking the nearest aircraft at post #16638 is a Lodestar ?

dook 5th Sep 2019 15:24

If it is, it might be this one...

Aircraft Operating Company.

Asturias56 5th Sep 2019 16:15

I couldn't find the royal visit photograph and it took a little while to identify the Lodestar.

Here we go then....
