Vichy was the clue to Siam.
|
Not sure where Vichy came from.
Dook has it with Lampang. Interesting read. https://www.chiangmaicitylife.com/ci...hern-thailand/ |
Vichy was not an enemy of USA, as in a clue above.
|
|
Siam wasn't Vichy, and was the only SE Asian country to avoid western rule.
Declared war on UK and USA after being invaded by Japan just before Pearl Harbor, but the ambassador to USA refused to deliver the declaration, so USA considered the country as occupied. |
I too wondered what Vichy was all about.

Let’s try this with aircraft ID: 2 engine high wing engine nacelles extend behind wing, short fuselage Could be grumman C-1 Trader? |
Too long for Traders, too thin for Providers - my money would be on Caribou. |
The shadows indicate that that the wings and tailplanes on the "Caribous" are about the same height off the ground, so my money is on an An-26 or similar. Which would mean that the four aircraft at the top right might be Il-28s.
|
Interesting thoughts based on that I say Semyazino Airport. It doesn’t match but when you go to howling pixel AN-26 it is the airport mentioned at the very bottom. ;) ;) |
Big place Russia............ we're going to need more clues....................
|
Russia is indeed a big place, but that's not where we are.
|
That's what I call a really good clue..............................
So are we in Europe? |
Yes, we are in Europe.
The photograph was taken just before a raid which I believe destroyed a lot of the aircraft. A conflict in the late nineties involving NATO. Is that a better clue ? |

Batajnica it is indeed.
Pity about the OH. |
