Arminius

Quite by chance, my reading last night finished at the foot of Hermannsdenkmal, quite a landmark. Arminius, liberator haud dubie Germaniae.

JENKINS 17th Jun 2019 09:12

Salamaua airfield? Swamp now, apparently.

dook 17th Jun 2019 09:14

That was quick !

Back to you.

JENKINS 17th Jun 2019 09:28

Good morning and thank you. Out now, I fear, to my local city with a noticeable grid system of city streets.

OH I regret.

Has everyone run out of challenges ?

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 15:57

Ok, here's one we haven't had before...

Connected to casevac operations or helicopter maintenance ?

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 17:26

There is a casevac presence. No idea about maintenance.

The watercourse in the background has a dyke. But I do not think it is the Netherlands (due to difference in water level) correct?
But the remainder looks European.

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 18:17

It had me fooled at first but that dyke is actually a bridge. The dark line to the left is the shadow of the bridge not the base of the dyke.

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 18:19

PS. Not the Netherlands but it is in Europe.

dook 17th Jun 2019 18:19

"Casevac" in searches brings up everything which is irrelevant.

Is there a sightseeing operation ?

Belgium ?

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 18:24

Not Belgium.

dook 17th Jun 2019 18:31

Might it be Denmark ?

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 18:46

Not Denmark.

as the river is partially dry I think mountain river?
Alps?

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 18:57

It is in the alps.

nvubu 17th Jun 2019 19:12

I think the first car might be a Mk 2 Renault Megane

Flap40 17th Jun 2019 19:15

Are you suggesting that we are in France?
