Sorry, fell asleep during the game!
It's a base for MP aircraft of a more modern type than expected.. Certainly not Australia - I had a few hour's flight and a couple of connections to get there. Here is one of them:

Africa...…….

mgahan 5th Apr 2019 21:23

Correct continent.
So now I can show the analogue METAR delivery system and, to be fair, a wider shot of the airport.

NHV H175 helicopters?

Takarodi it is

Well done Dook. Besides the offshore support the maritime connection was the DA42 MP aircraft based there. Very capable if a little cramped.
Flew in via Accra on Starbow. Here's the tower and the rotating beacon to alert airport uses of arriving aircraft - note the siting: must be interesting at night.

Corsairs in the back row and Hellcats in the front rows?

Not in the Pacific fighting area as they are clearly not suspecting an air raid!
country side does not match either.

dook 7th Apr 2019 11:48

I think they are all carrier-based aircraft.

kenparry 7th Apr 2019 16:21

Parked like that, perhaps a factory airfield rather than military?

dook 7th Apr 2019 16:28

It's not a factory airfield, just one which sometimes handled a lot of naval aeroplanes.

Further clues available.
