Lot of yankee cars to be SE Asia - I thought McGill or Florida?

nvubu 20th Feb 2017 14:33

Wrong neck of the woods with Florida. You need to define SE Asia.

Heathrow Harry 20th Feb 2017 15:41

well I'd now guess we're looking possibly at the Vietnam era - so let's try Don Muang?

albatross 20th Feb 2017 15:44

Subic Bay? OH if correct.

Heathrow Harry 20th Feb 2017 15:57

Helicopter is almost certainly US - prob some sort of S-61? Could be a Super Frelon but doesn't look bulky enough.. strike aircaraft with folding wings = naval design = almost certainly US produced (given the apparent age of the picture) maybe A-6's..............

nvubu 20th Feb 2017 16:00

Don't you just hate it when you're searching around and someone names it straight away :ok:

albatross has it - it's USS Constellation at NAS Cubi Point, Subic Bay.

Couple of other shots that I had lined up:

Heathrow Harry 20th Feb 2017 18:29

Heathrow Harry 21st Feb 2017 14:06

nooooooo - small airport but connects to 13 other destinations (alledgedly)

jensdad 21st Feb 2017 23:37

Sounds like it could be one of those low-cost destinations in the middle of nowhere. Bergerac?
