Sometimes flickr works with a deep-link, sometimes it doesn't.

Try this higher level version:

It might be Wanstead Flats.

aerobelly 16th Aug 2012 10:25

Not Wormwood Scrubs or Wanstead Flats. Different country.

How about Issy-les-Moulineaux as a possibility?

aerobelly 16th Aug 2012 12:01

Aviate1138 has it.

The photo's caption in "Men, women and 10,000 kites" reads:

"Issy-les-Moulineaux 7 September 1908, Delagrange beat all world records and his own of the previous day in the Voisin, covering the course seventeen times in 31 minutes at an altitude of 4 to 5 metres (13 to 16 feet)."

From my many flights into Stansted in the back of a Ryanair 737, I believe that this is Great Sampford

OH if correct.
