Noyade is correct. The unsuccessful St. Louis XCG-5. Well done:D

Your turn.

Noyade 15th Jul 2012 07:26

Thanks Brian. :)

Fire bucket and beer tonight > open house.

Lightning Mate 15th Jul 2012 14:35

Good morning BE. :)

Noyade 15th Jul 2012 22:09

you won't resist a look tonight.....
Sorry mate, plenty of beer and wood. :)

Looking now....some sort of Culver? Looks odd at the nose?
Another droney thingy?

American?

Lightning Mate 16th Jul 2012 05:55

Good afternoon Graeme. :)

Not a Culver.

I will not be able to get back on thread for ten hours, so to be fair to everyone I am withdrawing the challenge. You take it mate. :ok:

Noyade 16th Jul 2012 10:47

I will not be able to get back on thread for ten hours
Well, it's your call mate, but it's fast approaching 2100 hrs here and I'm on an early shift tomorrow, so I estimate I won't be back for....19 hours. I wouldn't let time interfere with your challenges in the future - very few are watching/playing lately. I'm a patient guy.

See ya then, then. :)

Here we go....

Actually, it probably doesn't need to be that black. The original was dark enough...

Night.

skytrain10 16th Jul 2012 12:09

Looks a little Pembroke/Sea Prince or perhaps more logically, a Prince 3E?

Lightning Mate 16th Jul 2012 16:03

Good call Ken. :ok:

Wish I had been around when it was posted. :\

I think you should take control - a seconder might be a long time pitching up.

skytrain10 16th Jul 2012 16:27

Thanks David. Initially I thought the nose was all wrong, but of course its blocked by the starboard engine. Rest of the aircraft certainly looks right, and Shell operated a number of Prince's, so hopefully I'm right:)

As you say I don't think I'm going to get a seconder, so here goes:

Hi!!!! Interweb at home!!!!!!!!!

Seconded!!

Is the latest an Italian?

RR

skytrain10 16th Jul 2012 17:34

Interweb at home
Excellent:ok:

Not Italian Martin, but it is a European design

Lightning Mate 16th Jul 2012 18:34

Pizza and Chianti ?

skytrain10 16th Jul 2012 19:45

Pizza and Chianti? Sounds a nice idea mate, but nothing to do with the challenge:)

skytrain10 16th Jul 2012 21:33

Apologies all but have to withdraw the challenge as we've had it before. It's the ICAR Commercial from Romania (aka BFW M.36).

I'll therefore take the liberty of posting another one - this was my previously withdrawn challenge from last week:

Closing down soon so usual rules apply:ok:

Noyade 17th Jul 2012 05:33

Good call on the Percival Prince. :ok:

this was my previously withdrawn challenge from last week:
Hi mate. From memory, built in 2000 and not a homebuilt/kitplane?

skytrain10 17th Jul 2012 07:51

Evening Graeme

From memory, built in 2000 and not a homebuilt/kitplane?
Your memory is good - although built in the 2000's - not specifically 2000.

Thanks regarding the Prince:ok:

Noyade 17th Jul 2012 21:55

Your memory is good
Not really David, I mean Ken. :)

And from memory we dispensed with the Aerotec idea, but I'm wondering if it could be non-European and non-USA?

skytrain10 18th Jul 2012 07:48

but I'm wondering if it could be non-European and non-USA?
Good idea to wonder like that:ok: You should perhaps look a little closer to home:)

Noyade 18th Jul 2012 10:40

closer to home
The Whitney Boomerang?
