Kubyshev I-2 Impulse
Well done. Ken

the latest is a Kraguj?

OH if so!!

RR

Edit: or Piaggio 148?

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 08:46

Thanks Martin...hope you didn't mind that we moved on.

Not a Kraguj or a Piaggio....but you are close with the former:)

Lightning Mate 21st Jun 2012 09:11

Morning Ken.

Is it an UTVA Aero ?

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 09:49

Is it an UTVA Aero ?
Nope, right country, but not an UTVA.

Lightning Mate 21st Jun 2012 09:57

LIBIS KB-6 Matajur then ?

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 09:59

LIBIS KB-6 Matajur then ?
Not that either David. Something altogether rarer....just the one built.

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 10:58

See you're still there David...to keep things moving along as it seems to be just you and I, do you need a clue?

Lightning Mate 21st Jun 2012 11:22

Sorry mate - I was disdtracted by some paperwork.

I have looked at all Yugoslavian manufacturers which I can find, but the only models which resemble yours have been the guesses I have posted above.

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 11:55

Design commenced in 1953, and first flew in 1958. Fitted with an Italian CNA engine which reportedly had problems that resulted in development of the aircraft not going beyond the prototype stage.

Lightning Mate 21st Jun 2012 16:06

Presumably the engine preceded the aeroplane, so is the powerplant a CNA D series ?

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 16:22

so is the powerplant a CNA D series ?
It is indeed...a D4 to be precise:ok:

Ridge Runner 21st Jun 2012 16:29

Figured it would have to be something that there was no picture of as Martin know's I have the bookhttp://images.ibsrv.net/ibsrv/res/sr...lies/smile.gif
That piccie is on the net but it seems you boys didn't find it!? Correctly it was not Russian but a Soviet machine!

Ridge Runner 21st Jun 2012 16:31

Avia FL.3??????? OH if so

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 16:33

Avia FL.3??????? OH if so
Not an Avia Martin.

Just to remind everyone, we are looking for:
- an aircraft whose design commenced in 1953 and first flew in 1958
- only one produved
- from Yugoslavia
- fitted with a CNA D4 engine

A simple google search should identify it!

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 17:01

Still not gone....the key to the search is the engine:ok:

SincoTC 21st Jun 2012 17:02

Evening Gents,

This one looks like a tough one to crack Ken, a quick shot with the latest clues before I go home in a few minutes; is it the Belgrade Student BS-1 ??

I haven't found a photo yet and unfortunately I still have no home Internet at the moment, so OH please if correct!!

Lightning Mate 21st Jun 2012 17:08

Belgrade Student BS-1 ?

Sod it!!!!!

skytrain10 21st Jun 2012 17:22

is it the Belgrade Student BS-1
It is indeed the BS-1 Trevor - well done:ok: Incidentally wiki refers to it as the AAK BS-1 Student.

http://i551.photobucket.com/albums/i...r/2d49e131.jpg

According to Wiki it's at the Belgrade Aviation Museum - I have a feeling one of our regulars has visited there:)

Sorry David...after all the effort you were pipped at the post. In the circumstances since Trevor has declared OH, I am sure no-one would object if control went to you.

Lightning Mate 21st Jun 2012 17:47

Thank you.

Lightning Mate 22nd Jun 2012 06:02

Good morning all.

I will be only able to monitor intermittently until lunchtime.

This one is not obscure......
