I'll leave you with another clue mate.

Here is the designer...

The photos above are on the net. When you find it, just move on as I suspect no one will be around to confirm it? Night. :ok:

(Why don't you have a crack at "Challenge" as well - chopper, chopper chopper...:))

SincoTC 23rd Jun 2012 12:40

A'rtnoon David :),

TC is probably working
Indeed I am; just having a quick break, but looks like I have missed Graeme!

That's the Lawrence Wackett Warbler

Lightning Mate 23rd Jun 2012 12:43

Shot TC. :D:D

There is no need for a seconder on this one.

Off you go.................

SincoTC 23rd Jun 2012 12:55

Thanks LM,

Similar in one way to the last challenge

If that's a bipe, does it have reverse stagger?

It'll keep the sun off if there is any this summer ;)

Lightning Mate 23rd Jun 2012 14:08

SincoTC 23rd Jun 2012 15:14

In what way mate?
European?
Did it participate in WWII?

SincoTC 24th Jun 2012 02:33

G'afternoon Graeme :),

Thanks, the Warbler looked like an interesting little machine.

It's a parasol mate :)

European, late twenties, trainer and utility aircraft, but also used for reconnaissance, presumably during WWII.

Just a wild guess , Anbo IV from Lithuania

SincoTC 24th Jun 2012 08:08

Morning Irishair,

Not such a wild guess, correct manufacturer, wrong type by a very small margin!!

Edit to say that I'm not looking for a variant of the IV, we've had them before and as I said in answer to Graeme it's not a fighter.

Lightning Mate 24th Jun 2012 08:32

Looks like a III.

SincoTC 24th Jun 2012 08:38

Morning LM :)

It seem like irishair has done a hit and run (not on active list but I see his light is still on)!

Lightning Mate has control :ok:

irishair2001 24th Jun 2012 09:28

Sorry Sinco,I did not see any other lights on so i expedited a hastey departure:ok:

SincoTC 24th Jun 2012 09:35

No problems irishair, you were so close and as your light was on I was expecting you to close the deal, but LM beat you to it!

Now where is LM?? :)

Edit:
Out of interest irishair, have you got to grips with image posting, I seem to recall that in previous times you had to call OH because of this?

Lightning Mate 24th Jun 2012 09:55

Here..........

Lightning Mate 24th Jun 2012 10:02

Just for once, I didn't have a problem with that challenge because it was in my portfolio as a future challenge. :O

With gratitude to Photoshop.........

Hmm,

Is your latest pre-1914 ? a two-seater? and is that a V-Twin or Triple "Fan-type" of some kind?

Just going out to cut the grass before it gets too wet again, back soon!!

Lightning Mate 24th Jun 2012 10:18

Pre-1914 - two seater.

Not a V-twin.

It's a radial and I have just noticed that the "neon glow" software didn't quite portray it well.

My post has been edited to show the engine shape more accurately.
