Yes Mel - French.

sabredog 31st Aug 2012 07:09

Gourdou-Leseurre GL.81?

Noyade 31st Aug 2012 07:32

Not a Gourdou-Leseurre product Terry, although it has a similar layout to the GL.81, this is a slightly bigger machine with a closed cabin...

The French manufacturer is way down the alphabetical list.

MReyn24050 31st Aug 2012 09:12

According to AviaFrance that is the Villiers 26 which never got off the ground/water.

Noyade 31st Aug 2012 09:29

Well done mate. :ok:

Your control Mel. :)

Looked at this briefly last night Mel. Fascinating - absolutely no idea mate.
And with each new unknown my first objective is to try and uncover the nationality behind it.

I want it to be British.
But, there is a USA sort of look to it as well?
And I hope it's not from South America.

MReyn24050 31st Aug 2012 22:00

You do not have to worry Graeme. This aircraft was not designed and built in South America or North America come to that. It is from Europe but not the UK.

Noyade 1st Sep 2012 23:18

It is from Europe
Big place that Europe.

Many built?

MReyn24050 2nd Sep 2012 09:23

Graeme. Go a bit east, only the prototype built. First flew late 1940s.

sabredog 2nd Sep 2012 11:14

Polish? An LWD product, Szpak-4A?
