You were very close indeed mate........

:D:D

Your thread. :ok:

skytrain10 31st May 2012 12:23

Thanks David, a nice challenge:ok: As you were so quick with the last one, here's another low wing plastic jobby :):

Can't see the wingtips, so is it the Aerospool WT-9 Dynamic LSA ?

skytrain10 31st May 2012 13:20

Not the WT-9 David, but it is a European design. Nothing special with the wingtips...no winglets, no curling up or down :)

Lightning Mate 31st May 2012 13:24

Thank you Ken.

I'm offline for an hour - w o r k.......

Lightning Mate 31st May 2012 16:12

Well, it's a ringer for the Aveko 3L Sprint but yours has no chin cooling intake whereas that one does.

edit: may I assume that it's not classified in Europe as an LSA ?

No connection, but you are in the right country. This aircraft appears significantly larger than the Sprint.

Mmm, should be easy to answer but it's not. I suspect you are right because of its size, but there is nothing to indicate whether it is or isn't. There is also the issue of whether the aircraft has actually been built yet! The silhouette is from a mock-up, so needless to say it is a comparitively recent (but not brand new) design. 2009.

Lightning Mate 31st May 2012 17:52

bugger......http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/u...ng_29/fist.gif

edit: are the wings slightly swept ?

skytrain10 31st May 2012 18:46

are the wings slightly swept ?
No, they are straight albeit tapering towards the tips. They do look swept but I think its a product of a wide angle lens.

Want to see the original piccie?

skytrain10 31st May 2012 20:20

Here's the photo...this is not the first aircraft we have had from this manufacturer.

Evening Ken,

I think that's TL Ultralight's TL-4000 ?

Open House please if correct, as I'm turning in now 'coz it's another early start tomorrow, besides which, my connection here tonight is very flakey again :ugh:

skytrain10 31st May 2012 22:23

Got it in one Trevor, well done:ok: The mock-up was first shown in public at Aero Expo in Germany in 2009, but seemingly no development since. In searches it would appear there is some information in the current edition of Janes, should any of our followers be wealthy enough to own one:)

SincoTC has declared Open House

Haven't you got a four day long weekend now?

God save the Queen and open house. :)

Lightning Mate 1st Jun 2012 12:01

Bingo. :ok:

Yes mate, we do have a four day weekend - probably feet up in front of the telly to watch the celebrations (with glass in hand).

I expect it will be broadcast over much of the world. Keep an eye open for the royal barge, "Spirit of Chartwell".

We spent a weekend on it on the Thames the weekend of the royal wedding - it is very up-market.

Hope to see you on the thread over the weekend.

God save the Queen.

Graeme has declared Open House. :(

Here's a formation for the open house:

G'day Karlark. :)

I think I see a "crank?" F4U Corsair?

http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/8122/341ng.jpg

I quite like the "at height" photos. Logically, it is what observers usually see. Brian's Bloch formation was a beauty so I'll look around for something similar. Cheers.

Karlark 1st Jun 2012 23:15

G'day Noyade,

:)

Yes, I believe them to be Vought F4U Corsairs :ok:. Hard to be believe that it is not on Mel's list that I can see.... unless listed as something different?

Thanks Karlark. :)

it is not on Mel's list
Yes, I had a quick look and couldn't find it either. I guess because it's so recognisable is the problem, unless you try something like your photo above.

A loner this time....
